john giants john+ I think it's so funny when fans of Graham Norton ARE SO EAGER to state that his show is better than anything in the US. Why are you trying so hard with Norton? Just enjoy him, and don't worry about what is on TV in the US. Late night talk shows were invented in the US and have been on the air here for 70 years or so. We have had scores of hosts--most of which you have never seen. There is nothing Graham Norton does that we haven't seen before.

@@PerthTowne Just because the US invented the concept of talk shows doesn't mean that they're the best at it. Take us, we invented modern football, yet in the majority of major tournaments we've been fucking shit. The only good US host I've seen is Conan. The rest are just painfully unfunny, unoriginal, safe, boring and quite frankly a bit shit.

Robert De Niro comes to mind instantly. It's like drawing blood from a stone talking to him. Harrison Ford is a prime example of structing the show to his strengths. Almost poking and making fun of the chatshow genre. Having a little laugh at his grumpiness while honoring his achievements. Thats why Harrison actually likes going on Graham's show.

De Niro hates doing talk shows period. He will only do Graham's show or The View. And he only does the view because Whoopi is on the show. In truth, De Niro has long had a weakness for Black women - put a black woman on your show and he will wake up.

Graham Norton is probably the greatest talk show host ever. Just because he brings the best out of his guest. The alcohol helps, too. But they way he makes them feel comfortable, like they are not even on a talk show, just having a conversation. He makes them so comfortable that they would tell stories that could be embarrassing. The only other talk show host who is 2nd to him. Conan. Conan is more animated, but he is genuinely a great host, too. I am lucky to have grown up in the UK with Graham being on our TV for the last 30 years. The first memory of him was on a great sitcom called Father Ted.

Where does it say that an actor has to be a bubbly publicist? They do it because it helps sell a movie. Everybody has that one bit of the job they hate but their boss makes them do it.

I swear Graham is the only good TV celebrity talk show host - Jimmy Kimmel is really up himself, Jonathan Ross is the same - always making the story link to him, but Graham has such wit and charm but lets the celebrities talk and interact without interrupting.

Duds on the show IMO have been Usher, Brit Robertson, Robert De Nero, This one where James Corden was hitting on Jessica Biel made me cringe, Mark Whalberg, Zac Efron and Cameron Diaz. im sure there is many more but those are ones that i can think of off the top of my head.
