I'm not sure that the word is respectful. He does come across as somewhat quite irreverent. At least he poses irreverent questions. But it ALWAYS feels like he's well meaning. He embarrasses his guests and pokes fun at them, but it never feels vile or ill spirited. I think Taylor just knows that the show is fun and that's she's in the safe hands. And that's why she's game.

@@Filippan00 it's pretty much the same with everyone. And I think his demeanor (oh, do watch the show!) is key. From Nicole Kidman with her fashion choices from late teens to completely drunk Mark Wahlberg playing with Graham's nipples everyone comes across as a genuinely likable person. There's never sense of offence behind Graham. I guess that's why everyone gets so relaxed there and tells all those crazy stories.

I think technically he is right, if he means The Graham Norton Show on BBC 1 - that started in 2007, first on BBC 2 and then moved to BBC 1 in 2009. However So Graham Norton did start on Channel 4 in 1998 and in 2002 it became a nightly show V Graham Norton for a year. Graham tends to not look back at those Channel 4 years, due to the very rude and sexual content in those talk shows.

Andy is John Mayer's best friend, so I'm fairly sure that's why Andy lumped her into that. Notice that he had zero to say about her other than bring her up. I think he was hoping for Graham to say something awful about her. I'd like to think he's better than that, but time will tell. Let's see if he ever has her on his show.
