Another huge advantage in GN's show is that his guests (mostly) appear *together*, not sequentially, so they interact not just with the host but also with each other. As a result, some of the show's most endearing or hilarious moments come when guests of different ages, backgrounds, or career arcs interact with each other. No American talk shows do this anymore, and we're worse off for it.

@@stephanemignot100 Graham Norton is the GOAT at being the classic talk show host. Nobody is better at getting material out of his guests and directing the show. Craig Ferguson is a special case, because his show was very much an anti-talk show that parodied and lampooned talk show cliches - no pre-interview, question cards being ripped apart at the beginning of the interview, robot skeleton for a sidekick, no band, insults to the audience, constant self-deprication about the show, the fourth wall constantly being broken etc. Loved his show. Had no clue Graham Norton ever existed until moving to New Zealand. He's the best. Hands down. Craig Ferguson will always be my favorite, but nobody creates an atmosphere like Graham. He's a great straight man...in a comedic sense of course, but can pack the place up with a pithy one-liner. Always look forward to his show.

Two of my favourite hosts ! Graham Norton doesn't seem to know how Large his fan base is here in Canada. I love the interplay between him and his guests,. Sometimes the guests completely crack each other up, or Graham. Some of my many favourites ... Mark Ruffalo's "girls over 12" shot to Josh Widdicombe, Greg Davies' "fecal Jackson Pollock" story, Lewis Capaldi just so happy to be there, Ed Sheeran's best mate from primary school showed up in the Red Chair on the same show, Kevin Hart ripping on Dwayne Johnson .... just Sooo many really great moments !

I do like Seth but I think the reason Graham is a better host is because in America all interviews move so quickly it’s like they barely allow the guest to finish a train of thought, they want to cover so many topics in such a short amount of time. In Graham’s show it feels more like they’re all having a conversation

The caliber and the plethora of guests he has on are remarkable. He's so funny and very engaging. The guests can really open up and it gets rather salty at times which is great. 2:20 - The Late Late Show in Ireland launched in July 1962 and is still running today. For 37 years it was hosted as Graham said by Irish broadcasting legend Gay Byrne from 1962 to 1999, he was Ireland's Johnny Carson. The show would attract nearly 80% of the Irish TV audience on a Friday night. It's start time is 9.35pm and runs for over 2 hours live. Not taped, 100% live from RTE Studios in Dublin.
