howdy friends!! as usual - here is a BTS of the process of making this video… as yall know by now, the goal is to combine education and entertainment and this style was a different go at it! it’s easy to just sit down and explain GTA at a table… but what if I can transport myself into the game and create a fake mission where I go around NYC and find checkpoints that THEN explain everything :) Lots of characters, mega thankful to all that helped and want to continue pushing! 2024 is going to be big, I can feel it. GTA's biggest strenght to me lies in it's multidimensionality. It's every gamer's game. Whichever type of game you like, you'll find your thing with GTA: This game includes all the good aspects of an open world, an rpg, a shooting and a cars-focused game. SA and V in particular are absolutely amazing games. I don't even know how many hours I've spent on those 2 games

I appreciate the production value but the explanation itself was lacking a bit. GTA was influential for sure but it was far from the only game making big moves back then. The way you frame it makes it seem like every game was a 2D platformer before GTA came along, when the truth is there were a ton of games pushing the boundaries of what was possible at the time. You want a story focused epic with deep characters? Final Fantasy had been doing that for a decade. Limitless freedom of choice and exploration? Elder Scrolls was already two games deep and cooking a third. Even platformers were pushing the limits with Super Mario 64 coming out a year before GTA and offering a brand new way to interact with a virtual 3D space, something GTA wouldn't get to until GTA 3. Rockstar definitely deserves respect for their contributions to the medium, but they were, and still are, only one of many studios putting out massively influential and groundbreaking experiences

I loved the way you tried to tell us why GTA is such an influence to the entertaining industry but i feel like you haven't covered much , the 60% of the video is your storytelling , a guy running around and blah blah. The parts that you covered are literally just the tip of the iceberg and they dont even feel enough. Also , in the end about the dan houser quote . Rockstar nowadays doesn't seem like that , have you seen the state of GTA ONLINE? oh i mean the " virtual arena " ( who calls it like that anyway) . You could have done better your research, this is a good video just because you edited so much that feels like a short film . Maybe next time try to balance those or do an actual video essay
