With Mega Scisor likely returning in Legends Z, its gonna have Close Combat and Dual Wingbeat wich is gonna be terrifying

That's only if Abilities return because don't forget, Legends Arceus got rid of Abilities. Only exception was Regigigas still having Slow Start because at this point, Game Freak dunks on Regigigas because they find it funny. @@halfway7690Most mega pokemon are defined by their abilities
@georgecortes34167 ай бұрын
@@halfway7690 It's because a lot of Megas were carried by their new Abilities: Mawile, Kangaskhan, and Lopunny wouldn't be the dominant forces they were without their Abilties. Want examples for each? Mega Mawile's Attack was only decent as it needed Huge Power to become the monster it was in Gens 6 & 7. Mega Kangaskhan would lead it to be "ehh" without Parental Bond letting it hit twice in one turn. And Mega Lopunny was excellent since Scrappy let it hit Ghost-Types with its newfound Normal/Fighting-STAB. Not every Mega is hard-carried by their Abilties like Aerodcatyl & Latios, but a lot of them wouldn't have nearly as much viability without them. Does that answer your question?

I ran a pretty good set for Scizor that had some surprise factor and utility in Gen 8 ladder. I ran a full physically defensive Scizor to live Wicked Blows from Urshifu (which was still OU at the time) with Rocky Helmet and KO it back. It also contributed to checking Buzzwole, Melmetal, Weavile, Urshifu, Rillaboom, and opposing Scizor. Kept momentum with U-turn, stayed healthy with roost, and annoyed the ops knocking off items. Underrated set I used for sure.

You remind me of the wild Hawlucha set I used to hear about to stop Urshifu dark: Full bulk investment to survive the resisted STABs and Flying Press since it's 4x effective and doesn't need the attack investment to KO back.
