Ahhhh~ Whenever I see Jellicent I am always filled with fond memories of Twitch Plays Pokemon's Randomised Alpha Sapphire run. That run had evolutions randomised so there was quite a bit of hilarity when our Wingull Peeko (F) and Dusukabe our Duskull (M) evolved into a matching pair of Jellicents pretty much within an hour of each other. A few of players hated having two of the same pokemon on the team (because to be fair we already had a ghost and several waters) but Peeko and Dusukabe ended up playing quite differently as Dusukabe ended up as our main sweeper with Surf and high powered attacking moves of various types, whereas Peeko (even through randomisation) ended up with Recover, Toxic and Dive making her a fantastic staller, and this mix of roles grew to make the chat utterly love them especially as our other mon ended up being boxed or released. One player drawing a 'children's book' styled comic telling of how the two came to love each other... Other players depicting Swinu (our egg hatched Swinub to Marstomp to Lanturn) as their adopted child who evolved to join them in the oceans and to inherit the role of the party's Heart from our starter The Lamp (a Torchick with Judgement who was 'cursed' into being a Lampent with Defeatist after KOing a fairy type and losing Judgement to the move Fairy Lock)... Eventually we managed to win the game and in the 'epilogue' as we were desperately struggling to get The Lamp out of the PC to finally cure him of the Unseelie's Curse with the Dusk -Stone- Key we had finally gotten, we put both Peeko and Dusukabe in the Daycare and they ended up having two beautiful Frillish sons named Oneechan and Aniiki (who as it turned out in randomiser evolve into Dusclops O_O') who hatched right as The Lamp evolved into his true form: Lampeon - a Synchronise Flareon with Fire Punch, Shadow Punch, -some move I can't remember- and *Land's Wrath*. (Incidentally prior to this we'd been depicting The Lamp having Gaiacat, a female Glameow with Fissure and Thousand Waves stuck in the PC with him, as his mentor so him learning Land's Wrath with his evolution was just even more amazing! XD) Was the best TPP run lore-wise ever for so many reasons (seriously there were spies, the fae, music genre battles, the EPIC of the Lamp, three Hooh's caught back to back in single pokeballs and the unstoppable force of Wally the Wall) but the joys of having this sweet little married couple evolve and find happiness together despite all the PC shenanigans, randomisations and our general incompetence was just really incredible and yeah

I know from experience this jellyfish can be pretty annoying, still exceeded my expectations though. Being a bulky water type is both a blessing and a curse in Pokemon. On one hand, bulky waters are excellent pokemon that always have a place in the metagame, on the other hand, there are a million of them, so to stand out you need something else unique that the other million bulky waters don't have. I guess when spin blocking is needed or keldeo starts terrorizing the meta, Jellicent rises to OU, when its not, it tends to be dominant in whatever tier it ends up in, simply because its still a bulky water, and bulky waters are always needed somewhere.

@@tarunyadav3567 lmfaooo I gotta copypasta that. "Unfortunate" doesn't begin to describe my series, this game rewards blind luck and nothing else, I am beyond convinced at this point. After getting completely tooled by scheduling with my opponent changing times on me last minute and refusing to provide confirmation prior to the day of the match as to play times, losing this way somehow felt even worse than I had thought possible. My preparation was superior, my play was superior, and I lost, so I don't see a reason to continue engaging in an activity where what is within my control is overwhelmingly outweighed by what is not. I am done with competitive Pokemon, and you won't get a fond farewell. This community is infected to its roots with a degenerative disease that grows stronger over time but stops short of killing its host. Tournaments used to have a competitive spirit at their heart, this has been transplanted and replaced with an artificial organ that feeds on vitriol and mockery from insecure little boys that heckle by the sidelines and tear each other to shreds over scraps of attention. The environment we fostered has trapped us all like this in a vicious cycle, and escaping it requires acceptance of the harshest reality we all scramble to explain away, that none of the countless straining efforts we put ourselves through here will ever amount to one single shining glimmer of significance. I would make this the end, but World Cup is still ongoing, and I would never leave so many great friends out to dry, so I'll suffer through a few more games for them. One last thing before I leave you all to react with disdain, ridicule, and self-righteous fervor, before you do everything in your power to minimize my words and thoughts, box them up and shove them to some cobwebbed corner of your memory, and hope they disappear forever as a stain on your finite time ground to dust. From this moment on, nothing you say matters to me. The foulest insults you hurl with intent to wound will calmly settle at the earth before my feet, and the venom you spit will bring all the pain of a warm summer breeze. You are less than anything you can conceive, while I carry on, brimming with joy distilled from detachment.

@@nousername191 Which could have been prevented by not making Outrage 120BP, and have it 90 like Gen 2-4. Similarly, nerf Draco Meteor And then buff Ice, cuz ice was meant to be the Dragon slayer. Maybe make ice immune to dragon for kicks fighting could be nerfed too by having Poison super effective on it

As a casual shitter I enjoy watching this series to see how each of my favorite Pokemon performs(or underperforms) in competitive games. As for Jelicent, I learned how great he is from a White Nuzlocke. He ended up being my trump card and the only mon on my team to fight both Ghetsis and Alder.

I think a series that spotlights certain players through the years would be cool, especially players that have used strange off-meta pokemon like pachirisu or murkrow.
