Again, not my best playing, but I had to share. Here's a bit of How Great Thou Art on the world's largest pie organ - the Midmer-Losh pipe organ in Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.

I visited there for the 1st time about 3 weeks ago. Took the Curators' Tour. What a wonderful piece of musical history! It's SO LOUD !!!

Hey I studied theater and classical with Richard Purvis for 5 years, knew Virgil Fox and George Wright in my late teens / early 20's, and this is some VERY nice playing Thank you in particular for your extremely refined registration choices IMHO this is an extremely good demonstration of exactly how this instrument is meant to be used

I love cathedral organ. It's power and majesty just encompasses you. E. Power Biggs and Virgil Fox were a couple of my favorites playing any of the great works written by J.S. Bach. I would go someday to hear that organ in person. What an amazing experience. Thanks for sharing.

I was under the impression the Wanamaker was the largest in the world. Am I wrong?
@aburicadabraedy55229 күн бұрын
Nope. This is the largest in the world

The Wanamaker organ is only partly operational. This instrument is fully operational since it's been restored over a great many years. It's also the largest with 33,128 speaking pipes.

@@stuartburden3968 it is not fully restored yet, it might be by 2026

Ahuh. Thank you so much for letting me know this. Just ordered the DVD for this incredible instrument.

@@stuartburden3968 you’ve got that backwards. This organ is only partially functional, Wanamaker is fully functional.
