I hate that Waka Flocka Flame and Gucci Mane had a falling out. It has a lot to do with Gucci Mane being jealous of his rap career. It seems like Gucci wasn’t happy for Waka. All Waka wanted from Gucci is to be happy for him. I mean they were the best of friends, so they was like Batman and Robin. Waka’s mama Deb was Gucci’s manager at that time. Both of them were never the best rappers in their prime, but they made incredible music together.
@TcVideoHosting Жыл бұрын
Waka mom was gucci manager , He fell out wit her first then brought situation wit Waka.
@blakebrown84 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, Deb was managing Gucci’s rap career at that time. I don’t know what year exactly, but all I know was Gucci fell out with Deb first. Then, People started listening to Gucci Mane just for his mediocre lyrics and production from Lex Luger and Zaytoven. He begin working with Zaytoven for his horrible song “So Icy” with Jeezy. Did you know him and Jeezy did two songs together on the same album? The other song was Black Tee, which featured Gucci & Jeezy. Gucci Mane and Jeezy were never friends to begin with. They both hated each other for 15 years before doing Verzuz. I was never a Gucci Mane fan at all. He was the type of friend who is jealous and don’t want to see other rappers succeed like Jeezy, who also has a bad reputation in the music industry as well. Jeezy was also a jealous friend who don’t want nobody to surpass him because he wants all the money for himself like Gucci Mane.

that $50,000 is only an advance that has to be paid back... getting less is better
@jonvia Жыл бұрын
For anyone in the music biz that wants to hustle their own music, stay indie. It'll pay off in the end. Labels only come at you when you're hot and the advances are terrible compared to the profits you could make with your own indie team and you keeping the masters to your work as well. Nobody understands that labels basically ruin bands and solo artists. They just suck them for what they're worth while hot, then drop them when their worth to the industry has cooled down. Id rather be an artist consistently working smaller venues and clubs for a whole career than go belly up being an arena or theater act for just a few years with all that recoup to pay back for touring and recording, and God knows what else the label wanted to sneak on the tab of that band or solo act.

I never knew that all of this happened as I was in my own world, but Gucci is really childish and immature for not wanting to speak to Waka like a man and settle everything. His physical appearance has changed, but his character hasn't and that's an ugly mentality to have. At the end of the day, Waka is better off without having Gucci around. Waka is a real man and has truly grown as an individual. I used to be proud of Gucci and Keyshia, but seeing how all they care about is their image and their brand....who lies about having kids and or how many kids they have? That's stupid. Waka is an honest man and Gucci isn't - so their values already don't align. I'm so proud of Waka! He'll continue achieving greatness.

In Gucci’s book he says deb changed “trap say aye” so that it was Oj’s song when, according to Gucci, it was his. She facilitated this while he was locked up. Gucci then ended his label so icy ent ( deb owned 1/3) and created 1017 brick squad. This cut financial ties to deb. At the same time deb was fired by Nikki Minaj, so it put her in a bad spot. This is how Gucci explains his side of the beginning of the tension.

He’s fine as hell! Which is why he was able to capitalize on something that he’s literally confessing that he was wack at. Not only is he fine, but it seems like his awareness and respect (reverence) for certain things is taken seriously. Knowing and fully being able to understand the trajectory of certain things……and accept it, will always serve you in an array of ways.
