I miss the days when KZbin wasn’t trying to be the thought police.

Did a video disassembling a revolver (removed the side plate and went digging, to show people what's in there and how it works): - spoke in an Austrian dialect (an obscure form of German) - _very_ vague title, thumbnail and description - self-rated as safe, non-harmful firearms content - fully monetized from day 1 Also did a short on how to mount the optic side rail on a Vz. 58 (basically, just put it on there and tighten two screws) - English texts describing the process step by step - descriptive title - self-rated as safe, non-harmful firearms content - limited monetization (even after "human" review)

if you check the manual review it should say what part caused it to be demonetized

The absolute irony of this being one of your lowest viewed videos…

Fyi A hair trigger is a tyoe of trigger made using ( human is my preference) by getting a handfull of hair, epoxying it in the shape your want, then replacibg the stock trigger assembly with said hair trigger.. The more you know

It annoys me that informative channels like this one and MAC that actually review and give solid advice are overlooked by the algorithm in favor for people like Civilian Tactical and that Cop guy who seem to only exist to advertise products

I'm honestly convinced that the only thing the KZbin algorithm actively shares is just the absolutely worse, garbage and actively harmful content because ironically enough, that's the stuff that makes the most amount of views and money. Like how after only being exposed to the internet for a week. Microsoft super AI bot became a Neo-Nazi thanks to Twitter.

Great video, wont get traction, but a nice community service - thanks J - I subbed. P.S. It's disgusting that these platforms are attacking our 1st and 2nd amendments.

I am old, a total gun amateur, and an obviuos FUDD. I do not present anything on YT about anything. I am shocked and dismayed by all these restrictions. YT could stop any gun channel if they really wanted to. If you make a video that shows how to disassemble a Ruger Mark IV, do you get demonetized on the two accounts of showing the internal workings of a gun and promoting a particular firm? The US military made a bunch of good films on how various kinds and brands of guns work, and how to properly clean them and care for them. So, does the US military get 3 strikes and get kicked off YT? Seems like the US military would not meet the exception well enough. Are there alternatives to YT? I really like your vids and work. Good luck. Mike

mmmh constantly demonetized u might be talkin bout PSR :) He just embraced demonetization. He's enjoying it, like a design feature of life itself. And having fun with it. No, that's not why he acts like he's lost gay, that's his natural behavior I suppose. But the Glong yeah that's part of the show for example. :D

I think its crazy that you cant show a automatic rifle ( Without getting monetized)but you can show a "prop" version in a fake film.(movie) shit just not right.

I understand the frustration with the rule minefield, but I think you're really kinda focused on USA perspective and gun youtuber perspective because: 1. Lot of the stuff you mentioned that youtube doesn't like is VERY ILLEGAL in most of the world - like messing with the trigger disconnector on a semi conversion of a military surplus gun (sorry if I miexed up the terminology). So youtube might be trying to steer the content in a direction that doesn't require them to spend resources region-blocking the content. 2. It seems that everyone on youtube is plagued by ridiculous demonetizations. I noticed some channels now censor even absolutely ridiculous things just in case. At the same time, I've seen some pretty wild gun videos. So I am not so convinced gun youtube is directly targeted. I mean I never even shot a gun and I keep getting gun channels in recommendations constantly.

I think they are also trying to accelerate getting firearms content off of KZbin by trying to play into people’s fears. Why is it that out of all the gun videos I posted (including shooting an MG42 and Mauser Schnellfeuer), the most popular one is me shooting a Glock with a switch?

With my prior channel the monetization issue was a key frustration. It made using youtube a real drag.

You might be able to use a link tree in the description to get around putting sponsored company links directly into the description. A URL shortener might work. Still don’t know how you’d get through the sponsored section where you promote them without stepping on a land mine.
