I was thinking of adding cooking videos to my channel. After you watch this, you'll understand why that isn't going to happen.
In this episode, I tackle the notoriously complex Beef Wellington with a French twist, aiming to elevate my culinary prowess to new heights.
My aim was to guide you through each step of the process, while navigating unexpected challenges.
But as my kitchen started to heat up, I think you'll see the culinary mishaps I made -- and hopefully, like me, see the humor of the situation. From butter battles to close calls with the chopping board, I had my struggles!
In the end, whether my Beef Wellington achieves perfection or falls short of expectations, the journey itself is a testament to the adventure you step into every time you wrap an apron around yourself. So pour yourself a glass of your favorite vintage and join me on this gastronomic nosedive!

Next time get a much thinner roll of beef tenderloin so it cooks thru more. Yes, phyllo dough in the freezer section. Yes, a good dry white...or for me a medium riesling. Then if you can still stand/walk, take out of oven, let rest 10-15 minutes. Enjoy! Hi from Wisconsin 🖐 🥂🍻

You are far more of a Beef Wellington expert than I. I saw it, tried to make it... and failed. Everything else I've done -- even sushi -- has worked out great. I'll take your tips on board if ever I try again, but I think my Wellington is in the Waterloo

That dish looked great, but the meat was too rare for my taste buds! I would've given it a solid ten more minutes in the oven. By the way, you have a new hairstyle? Totally suits you!

Rare it was -- much too rare! I already gave it more time than it should have needed, and it still came out rare. What I really needed was an overn thermometer to stick in the Beef Wellington.... And my hair? Just the style on the day...

For the cooking part, yes! (But maybe a nice rouge to accompany it later on -- though in this case the meat was rouge enough)
