I did this challenge like a year ago, it was a lot of fun, and fairly easy, although I did notice some differences in our build! I used the sword that you get using Gael's soul instead of the normal variant, and I used the shield listed on the wiki instead of the shield in this video, finally, I followed a youtube guide to get as close as I could to Gael's exact face. Overall, very fun, I reccomend everyone give it a shot!

On a side note I did kill every single enemy in the game atleast once including NPCs at the end of the run but I couldn't find a way to verify or include this in an entertaining way the video so I didn't talk about it, it's a big reason why this run was so easy because I was level 77 at irithyll because in lore gael killed everybody pretty sure 😭

27:26 heres a tip to make the dancer easier in your next run listen to the music every boss in DS3 follows their theme song pretty much since pretty much every boss runs on a 1/4th beat but the Dancer is the ONLY boss in the game with a 1/3rd beat which throws a lot of players off so thats mainly why she is so hard to predict or even follow some times but once you understand the beat and her moves she becomes very easy to fight but that still doesn't make up for lack of braincells to dodge her attacks guilty as charged I tend to get my ass handed to me sometimes

It’s important for people to give honest feedback on how they feel the game plays from their perspective I’ve never played a souls game and felt like everything was 100% perfect they definitely have the best 3rd person rpg style of all time imo but they all have areas and enemies that feel janky although that number has usually gotten better over time eg ds1 had the titanite demon with the janky tail thing and a couple of camera terrain bumps that can cause you to fall if you don’t know about them ds2 gave player hit boxes to enemies ds3 has the puss of man hit box disaster elden ring has the dragon on the bridge at the beginning of farum azula the bridge is slanted so the stand up and breath fire attack that is super inconsistent and the double hand slam has a huge hitbox that’s larger than you would expect although it is really only noticeable if you try and fight him honestly on a low vig character (challenge runs) if we keep pointing out the flaws the games will keep to improve we just don’t need the from does no wrong hard game good mentality that people had around the time the dlc for ds1 released that made ds2 a hot mess on release or we risk going backwards

time stamp 8:42, your words are wrong. those enemies essentially infect covers you with leeches that causes you to gain bleed. if you pull out one of the different torches you can get in game and it will remove the leeches and stop the increase in bleed effect. but you are correct at sitting at a bonefire to remove them as well. hope this helps with your other ds3 runs. keep up the awesome videos

Since when did gael's sword become the best sword of the entire game?? Basically I think the lothrick knight sword is the best all around versatile sword. Best PVE sword all around no doubt but there are right tools for the right job. The Astora great sword is the best sword for dealing with the Abyss Watchers. The hollowslayer greatsword is the best sword for dealing with the deacons of the deap. Crystal sage rapier is the best weapon for item discovery. Storm Ruler is the best weapon for killing Yhorm. The normal Dagger is the best backstab Weapon. All in all it really depends but if you want an all around best versatile weaon, The Lothric Knight Sword is the best, tested and proven weapon.

I made an entire build based around it and farmed like 50 lothric knights to get it beginning of the game, it feels more statistically the best weapon rather than actually feeling OP. It likely is the best weapon in the game overall but it just felt like a strong straight sword to me but in this run I could stunlock and shred bosses to death before they got 2 attacks off and I literally killed dragonslayer armor, champion gundyr, lothric and lorian phase 1 all in under a minute with no buffs and just 40 strength +7. It felt more OP to me and I could oblierate most bosses in under 2 minutes.

@@amrmans2 I've tested every weapon in the game and the straight sword has the best move set and weapon art. The stance can break shield guards and it's even way better if you're using a shield that has a weapon skill, (Curseward Greatshield, Shield of Want, etc.) It's fast and doesn't consume much stamina. The Lothric knight sword dominates this one because it has a long reach for a straight sword and uses the R2 Poke. There are exceptions, however, if you're trying to accomplish something different and this is where those kinds of weapons come in handy. Ledo's Great Hammer is good if you're trying to jump-attack the Harald Knights in the Ringed City. I wouldn't use a lothrick knight sword on that. I was farming their sets and I was using a chaos-infused dagger on them but it didn't turn well because the dagger's reach is very short and sometimes it fails to initiate the jump attack on them. A lot of people say the Ring Knight straight sword is the best straight sword but it's not. Its weapon art is impractical and it's just for show. Also the Follower's Torch I think is the best weapon for dealing with slugs or those guys that vomit worms on you at the cathedral of the deep.

Yeah glad you noticed that. After I realized I didn't have nearly the fraction of clips I needed and couldn't repeat the run since the run used very specific clips I just decided to fuck it and create a entertaining video with a slight edge to the actual title. I went crazy with the edits to sort of distract/entertain the viewer from the videos original idea. I've fixed this in future vids.

It’s not. Even against Yhorm, the crazy poise damage leads to tons of high damage headshots. Even the armor is decent, so shield of want is pretty good, for farming and fire defense (a common as hell element). Even the repeating crossbow is good as long as you can get the exploding bolts from Greirat. I would honestly say playing as Gael is what a normal play through would be like for a person with no Dark Souls experience. Screw Way Of White Corona though.

Try the Abyss Greatsword The black sword you get from the Abyss Watchers soul I beat the game like 17 times with it. It's stronger than Gael's sword and better than the Farron Greatsword. L2 + R1 roll catches players and NPCs while L2 + R2 staggers everything. It also has a hilarious charged attack for that sends shit flying. I fully recommend it.

In some of the clips you can see me using the warrior starting class because that was the original run aswel as me using the battle axe in some of the early clips, and after ashes of ariandel all my clips are in the slave knight set and everything else is other people's footage, my other runs or NG+. However this highlights another issue that I'm aware of and it's that my footage for the run was a complete mess and was all over the place. The production of the vid was VERY messy so I'll try better in my next few vids on structure.

It's tied with dark souls 1 which is my second favorite game of all time but it kinda seems like I don't like thr majority of it so I'll explain. While the levels are meh up until irithyll ds3 has the most consistent level design and boss quality of any game I've played but the bar for consistency isn't that high so I don't feel very excited until the back half. The DLCs have some of my favorite moments in gaming and alot of the redeeming qualities don't fit in this vid. However I will say in the base game ds3 lacks alot of originality or magical moments that made me love the other souls games so much. It's consistent and very replayable but thr last game I'd talk about in the series if I were to describe was the souls series are about.
