People really need to stop underestimating Oda. Oda doesn't need to write off Kid and Law to get Shanks and BB in the story. Oda is known to handle multiple characters in arcs, and all of his characters have some defining moment in the series. Do you really think Oda will remove after all the setup he made for Kidd with man marked by flames and why he keeps going after Shanks? Kid will definitely come back better than ever!

Let's put it this way... because Kidd and his crew got their ship destroyed, he's not coming back. Ships is one of the most important signifiers for any pirate crew, and oda ain't gonna waste his time for Kidd looking for a ship. As far as we know Shanks was only on Zou once 20 years ago. Zou is also an Island that is always surrounded by mist and is specifically said to be hard to find. Nekomamushi and Inuarashi also never mentioned showing the road poneglyph to Shanks when they were talking to the stawhats. Shanks could have that poneglyph already but I don't think so. I could always be wrong though.

Kid isn't dead but definitely sidelined as a major character. The comparisons to luffy's defeat sabaody is off luffy was weak and had endless room for growth. Kid on the other hand, at this point has already awakened his devil fruit, which signifies a character being near or at his peak. There isn't much else kid can do to to boost his strength and close the massive gap to Shanks and the other major players. He ain't dead but his role as a major player is over

Honestly I think it signifies kids end as a big player in the story. I could see him maybe showing up for a panel or two during the end war. I think oda has so many characters, & is reprioritizing the plot going into the end game. I don't think his original plans for kid came to fruition, some arcs took longer, changed over time. He wanted to build up kid & law so they could job out to get bb & shanks ready to contest luffy.

tbh, this is grasping straws. I'm not entirely convinced that Kid is even still alive, and I'm highly skeptical that he would have any significant role in the story going forward. Oda had little to no plans for how he would use the supernovas when he introduced them on Sabaody, only promising that they would all be responsible for great change. Maybe Kid has more to contribute to the story, but I honestly think Oda is probably more inclined to give other worst generation members some more attention.

Frankly, I hope Kidd will return in the future, so someone else can beat him to a pulp. I don't think he can learn from his mistakes, he already lost his arm to one of Shanks' subordinates, we haven't seen him learn, got beaten by Kaido, haven't seen him learn, got defeated by Shanks, no reason to believe he'll learn this time around. Hell, he was so stupid he thought he could take out Shanks in a single shot! After seeing what Big mom and Kaido can tank! Or what crazy stuff they can pull off in combat! He was a fool to fight in the first place. Kids' defiance and strong will can just as likely be stubborn disposition instead, which can easily mean that he's incapable of changing his tactics or mindset when faced with overwhelming odds. I haven't heard the theory that Killer could be a three-eyed tribe member before, and I find it unlikely for several reasons: 1. If Killer was a three-eye, then it's very likely that Kaido would know after capturing him and then would logically keep Killer locked up to read Kaido's poneglyph instead of using him like a simple hitman. Queen would've been all over Killer with experiments and the Beasts would've made it a priority to get him back after he disappeared (a counter to this point is that Kaido was allied with Big Mom and so theoretically had access to Pudding, but Big Mom herself had dismissed Pudding as an option already (Blackbeard likely doesn't share that knowledge or sentiment, leading to her abduction). 2. The part of the theory that basically goes "If Killer is a three-eye then Shanks will take him prisoner and make him read the poneglyphs" ignores a simple fact in the series that was established at the end of the Zou arc: Yonko has the authority and power to get pretty much what they want, if Shanks needed a three-eyed tribe member, he can recruit one, he's got the resources and charisma to get the loyalty of that entire tribe if he saw fit. Additionally: - Considering that he's sailed the Grandline with Roger, and then with his own crew, and got several underlings that sail too, it's very possible that Shanks has been to, or knows of the three-eye tribe's home and has a rapport with them already, which also enables one or several members to be on his side. - Shanks is already on Elbaf, the place Jaguar D. Saul took several books that survived the Ohara incident, so it's far from unlikely that Shanks has access to those books, and has had time to study them. He could even have learnt a bit of how to read them from Oden while they sailed together. Simply put, there's several places he could find the information to let him decipher the poneglyphs. Shanks is spoilt for choice on this one. 3. Using the same reasoning as this theory, that treats the fact Killer's forehead has never been shown as possible reason that he could be revealed to be a three-eye, then two of Shanks' officers could already be a three-eye since Lucky Roux and Limejuice has never been seen without their bandannas. Heck, Lucky Roux could be implied to have special perceptive abilities since it was him that stole the gumo gumo fruit from Who's Who prior to the first chapter of the series according to the Sixth Databook, which is a bit more than what Killer has been shown to have. 4. Literally everyone that takes the hunt for One Piece seriously would gather all available intel on poneglyphs (preferably the real thing) regardless of having the ability to read them, so Killer doing it isn't special. Kaido did it without any to read it, and Big mom had a poneglyph some 22 years prior to the series and only gave birth to Pudding 16 years prior to the present. I admit that my counter arguments doesn't address the references to Sabaody and that several things will be important from that point on (though there's nothing that hints it should be related to Killer), so feel free to comment on that.
