I don't know how but they manged to stretch the one attack into the full episode and it did not feel slow at all! The pacing felt so natural, almost like the old one piece days, the old vibes with old music and everything! Amazing Shanks episode through and through. Also there is a tiny detail where you can spot a sythe getting broken, be it only for a few frames, in between shanks attack, backing up the fact that killer stepped in to save kidd. There are many frames of the sun in Hakouko sovereinty,s impact frames and a frame of Dory and Brogy doing the nika dance! Vincent never lets down on the impact frames.

Let’s be real, if in a hypothetical alternate timeline, Luffy had road poneglyph copies while he was struggling against Kuma on Sabaody and it was a situation where Kuma would have killed his friends in order to get those copies, I think he would have definitely traded those road poneglyphs for the safety of his friends. The Kid pirates (mostly Kid himself) made some bad decisions, but trying to keep the captain alive by giving the road poneglyph copies was actually the one smart thing that Heat attempted to do, he knew they would all just die if they just jumped Shanks. I believe Shanks dialed it back so Kid wouldn't die, but then the Kid pirates got done in anyways 😂. The animation for Dorry and Broggy was really really good, but cmon bro. That huge team attack just to _split_ a ship? lol. Zoro split a ship right after post timeskip. Ace was fire fisting all those baroque works ships pre timeskip lol. That's an Oda writing problem though lol. I feel bad for Kid . He's the only of the 3 (Luffy, Law and Kidd) that didn't really get character development. Maybe because Kid is actually a _bad_ guy. Bro literally kills civilians lol. He _is_ the most pirate of the 3. Maybe this is the Kid character development that Oda is setting up.

Kol just had to glaze shanks heavy by slandering mihawk, he had a good thing going but he couldn't have just shut his mouth and hyped up his boy without taking shots at the obviously stronger character

Which is pretty surprising because kol takes the stance that shanks > Mihawk, but at the same time, Mihawk's sword skills > shanks', which, mental gymnastics aside, if we go by that logic, this feat (divine departure) is literally a sword skill, which means, according to king's own logic, that not only can Mihawk do the exact same thing that shanks did here, but he can do it even better.
