How have you improved someone else’s life?

Just a brief discussion wondering what any of us has done to improve things in the world, our families or friends. Have you done something great to make someone’s life better or are you like me, just existing through life? I dunno about you, but just existing has gotten boring.

Hey Greg. You wondered if you have made an impact in someone's life, I can tell you that your videos changed mine! In 2019, I was out of college and in a dead-end job, hating every minute of it. I remember late one night (in the wee hours) I binged watched your videos after finding your channel thanks to AdamtheWoo - after seeing your enthusiasm in the videos (in particular I recall the Cypress Gardens video) it made me re-think what I was doing in my life. The fun you were having making videos made me want the same from my life. That month I quit my job in human resources and followed my passion with music. 2 and a bit years on and I now have 8m streams on Spotify and I'm happier than I have ever been. So I would like to say a big thank you - you don't realize how much you've impacted people with your videos! 😊

You are a very good speaker. I can tell your comments come from the heart. Your story about taking the small burger resonates with me as well. I dont think of myself as creating anything, but I do fix things. That has it's own reward in both personal satisfaction and a nice feeling when people say that they appreciate how i help them save money. I had planned on trying to get in touch last month when I was in Florida, but a few things came up and I ran out of time.

I have had co-workers and friends that follow me on Instagram and/or Facebook actually mention to me numerous times that my photos actually give them enjoyment cause they could see places that they would not normally be able to go. They were traveling through my photos. It also gave some of them ideas for places to go on quick trips around the state if and when they decided to go. Some of them have actually wanted me to start doing videos too. One day maybe I will try that again. It’s nice when people say that about your work. Makes you feel good. I like bringing people enjoyment and having fun while doing it.

Thought provoking video, Greg. Of course helping coach a team improved lives! Teams could not exist without their coaches. I was raised by parents who believed in having fun and being of service to others involved in the fun. To do my part to keep the fun going for myself and others. So we are joiners who join clubs, teams, etc and get involved. Get on the board, become an officer, and improve things, or at least, keep it going. I did this as a kid with a children’s square dance club and at church with the youth choir. As an adult I took tennis lessons and now I captain teams and serve on a board of a tennis league. My main job each year is to create a membership directory which I know benefits the 1000+ tennis players in the league.
