"paying a few buck for plastic miniatures...." yeah. I'm pretty sure that collection is AT LEAST in the range of the "super expensive gaming rig" mentioned earlier as "wow, so much money" fact. Especially if he collects it for more than 2 years. Most packs come in around 35€ to 50€ and you need quite a few to "build an army". Not talking about the collectors editions and "crazy expensive bigger models" (which are expensive beyond any reason). Not saying he spends more on that than other stuff, just saying she definitely didn't do her research here when brushing away a "cheap and endearing hobby" :D ;)

I'd love to see his collection, you can often see the improvement in painting over the years and even how people's style / taste changed as they grew older or got inspiration from lore, be it in or outside of 40k.
