First verse was from $crim, real name Scott, and the second was Ruby Da Cherry, real name Aristos. You may also hear them use other names in songs like “Young $carecrow” and “$lick $loth” ($crim) or “Yung Plague” and “Oddy Nuff” (Ruby).. they really like using alter egos, especially in older music. They have way more names, there is a whole list on their Wikipedia, those are just the most used I think. Thank you so much for another $B reaction! Super excited for y’all to go down their discography. They have so much amazing music and I think you will really enjoy it! They are def inspired by artists like Three 6 but I think over they years they’ve honed in and perfected their own sound. Like you said they are very unique!

Scrim is the first verse in this song, hes the taller one with the deeper , scarier verse - sometimes goes by scarecrow, yung christ, budd dwyer, slick sloth etc. - he produces almost all of their songs/beats Ruby Da Cherry or Ruby is the other one, hes shorter with a higher more melodic kind of tone, second verse in this song - also goes by yung plague, snow leopard, etc. They're super influenced by Three 6 and you'll even hear them sampled in a lot of their older songs, just a ton of southern, New Orleans/Louisiana influence

I highly highly recommend checking out the album “Stop Staring At The Shadows”! It’s the album they came out with right after they both got sober and it’s my personal favorite.”whispers indistinctly”, “Bizarro”, “That just isn’t empirically possible” and basically the whole album goes absolutely crazy!! Thank you guys for giving these guys a chance and being open minded. Us super fans really enjoy reactions like these. 🫶🏼😊

Dude, a year later trying to get this comment out 😭 but the coolest thing about these guys for me is their audio engineering. Sticky Sloth aka Yung Christ, is a lead producer on so many of their projects, and a cool thing about their production is that they record two audio tracks of their vocals and layer them, and then a third reprieved version of their lyrics layered on top to create that insane vocal presence and almost mystic background voice effects.

I'm hella late here (just found your channel today!). Yes, the pact is legit. The story behind them is pretty dark, and the lyrics really reflect it. When it comes to their songs, usually a couple listens are needed to really kind of pick them apart. It's a huge reason I really fell in love with their music. I found them at a very rough time in my life, and it's helped me feel less alone in my struggles. I can gladly say I'm doing leaps and bounds better now, and they're still my favorite group. I even got my husband hooked on their music, and we saw them live in Somerset, WI this past August. I found them in 2017, and I'm so proud of how far they have come. Both of them are sober now (Ruby still smokes weed whereas Wetto doesn't anymore, nothing wrong with that!) and they've really taken off. $crim/Wetto has become a huge advocate for therapy and seeking help. He always gives a speech at the end of each concert, and they're very heartfelt and humble. They do perform at Rolling Loud, so maybe look at the 2022 performance? Otherwise some fans have recorded concerts from this most recent Grey Day tour :) By the way, listen to "I Dream of Chrome" by them :) it's on DIRTIESTNASTIEST$UICIDE. It has been my favorite song since it released. It's just a banger.

curious to see what you guys think of their old music. Once you go pre-2018, their low budget production sound was the most unique thing coming out of soundcloud. well, basically they both had their past with mental issues and substance abuse, so they kind of got that off their chest by making songs about that. by now, as far as i know, they're both sober but of course still process their feelings through their music. helped me a lot, guess they helped some more people and thats why they are (besides the great production and beats) awesome. big upp

Scrim is the deeper slower flow. And Ruby is the more of the singer with faster flows. They’ve changed their music a lot too. Their early music was heavily influenced by 3 6 mafia. The music was all about the devil and murder. But they’ve been sober now for awhile and their music changed from then. I still gotta recommend say cheese and die cause I can tell you boys like that older style and I think that one would be up your alley. So I've looked through and seen so far y'all have listened to the chill shit from $B, but I'd likely to personally introduce you to two of their newer songs that, in my personal opinion, are straight fucking HEAT. This is coming from somebody who has delved pretty deep into their catalog, and has been in the top 1% of listeners on Spotify for two years in a row. Love their shit. " My Swisher Sweet But My Sig Sauer " This is brand spanking new from about a week ago as of writing this. It's basically a little teaser song drop for their album/EP coming out on the 16. It's a Collab song with Germ. Shit is fire, and it's got a lyric video similar to this one y'all reacted too. The second one is, "Fucking Your Culture." Comes from the same album as Matte Black, it's got a pretty funky beat but. That's what I like, breaks up the stale ass rap formula atm.

It's two dudes, they are both Cousins. One is $crim - Scott Anthony Arceneaux Jr. (the first guy rapping) and Ruby da Cherry - Aristos Norman Petrou (the second guy). They both come from New Orleans. Ruby used to be in a punk band (drummer) Scrim was working in a store to be able to afford DJ equipment. Scrim started to rap and make his own EPs as well as beats (still makes a lot of their beats) and Ruby ended up joining in as well because he felt like the band members did not take it seriously as he did. They called themselves $uicideboy$ because they made pact that if their musical career didn’t work out, they would both commit suicide. A lot of their influence is 90's Memphis rap as well as Lil Wayne someone they both looked up to a lot when starting their music careers and the rest is history. Almost forgot they made a label called G*59 RECORD$ (Grey Five Nine). Part of their label: Ramirez, Germ, Night Lovell, Shakewell and Chetta. Hope that clears things up a little.
