@@socalbeeremovalandrelocation It’s true, confidence often walks a fine line, and many mistakenly believe that one cannot exist without the other. Yet, true confidence, the kind Stoicism teaches, is grounded not in external validation or arrogance, but in quiet self-assurance. It comes from knowing your worth without needing to prove it to anyone. Ego, on the other hand, feeds on comparison and pride, while genuine confidence blooms from inner peace and self-mastery. Your question is thought-provoking and opens up a fascinating discussion about the nature of true strength. Have you ever encountered a situation where confidence emerged without a trace of ego, and how did it change the dynamics around you?

Once you realise everything fades and nothing physical can be eternal. You will find serenity
@stoickingdomoffical
@stoickingdomoffical Ай бұрын
The realization that everything physical is fleeting, that nothing lasts forever, offers us a gentle release from the grip of attachment and yearning. It’s in this acceptance of impermanence that we find a true sense of peace, an inner serenity that remains untouched by external changes. When we no longer cling to what we cannot keep, we open ourselves to a life filled with gratitude for each passing moment. Your reflection captures the essence of Stoic wisdom in such a poignant and deeply moving way-thank you for sharing this insight. Have you found that embracing this truth has changed the way you experience relationships or approach challenges in your life?

@@stoickingdomoffical yes. If can firstly explain, I have spent a life time being misguided by the dilutions of grandeur generated by popular culture only to realise, that you will never get a different result doing the same old things. However in that moment I became abundantly aware of my hardened anxious mindset. It is very common for men these days to become calcified in their thinking that pursuing women is just another task in life like chopping firewood or drilling for minerals.... when you are not getting results - work harder. Well that doesn't work. You are absolutely right, when - and only when a woman is on the search for a man, less is more, especially when it comes to conversation. Saying too much is as problematic as saying nothing when what is needed is, what I call verbal economics! In other words, saying more with less words. Women need time to digest what has been said. Often it is best to not try to have a joke with a woman who you don't know well. It generally will not work because of their instinct is to be on the defensive. Anything strange is interpreted as potentially harmful. Put this to the test for your own satisfaction. If you tell a joke to a barmaid then tell that same joke to say a librarian you will get two completely different reactions. It's just conditioning. So by me just taking my time...by laying out the crumbs this woman who I really don't yet know is responding in a very positive way - thank you.
@stoickingdomoffical
@stoickingdomoffical Ай бұрын
@@greghayes9118 The analogy of “verbal economics” is both inventive and fitting; it speaks to the delicate art of communicating with intention, understanding that less is often more when it comes to forging authentic connections. Your thoughts on the contrast between different environments and reactions, from the barmaid to the librarian, beautifully highlight the subtle social conditioning that shapes interactions. This mindfulness-respecting a woman’s natural defensiveness and allowing her the space to interpret and respond-reflects true emotional intelligence. Seeing how you've taken these principles to heart, applying them thoughtfully, and observing the positive response is inspiring. I am grateful to have people like you in this powerful community. If you are not yet, I invite you to subscribe so you can continue reflecting on more ways to live wisely through stoicism.

I've tried this calm, stoic shit with women and while they're initially interested their interest almost always shifts to the guy being very talkative, hyperactive and outlandish. I end up being an afterthought who they forget is even there and if I try to enter the convo with slow purposeful words they don't even pay attention or act in a way that makes me feel as if I'm bringing the energy down. I think more than anything women love passion and excitement and they like being around men who give them that. Hell, even men I know who are emotional trainwrecks and the complete opposite of stoic seem to get more girls than anyone else.

It' not about game or fakeing who you are or getting a girl or anything like that. It is about personal growth and understanding everything is about that, nothing else matters when vompared with yourself. The hook is the focus (women seeking), the goal has nothing to do with it

One thing I feel that’s not really addressed with men that lose the love of their lives is they don’t reflect and discover how they played a part in that. Both women and men do it. If you’re getting to know someone on a date or multiple dates and the common theme is my ex was a psycho or they were the problem (yet they keep dating the same person over and over) if the story is “it was all them”. They have plenty of work to do. But I think if you’re a high value man at that point. You’ve already learned that. Stay strong brothers and find where you fucked up before moving on to someone else. If it’s always the other one, then you have work to do.

It’s so easy to cast blame on others without recognizing the role we ourselves may have played in the unraveling of a relationship. The idea that growth comes from introspection, from the courage to confront our own shortcomings, is a powerful reminder of what it truly means to be a high-value individual-someone who doesn’t shy away from the hard work of self-improvement. Your words invite both men and women alike to pause, reflect, and learn from their past, rather than repeating the same patterns. It's a lesson in accountability that transcends gender and applies to all who seek meaningful connections. Have you ever found a particular moment of self-reflection that led to a major shift in how you approach relationships?

@@stoickingdomoffical 💯. If you’re dating someone who talks about their exes (both sexes) and how horrible they are. Then that tells you they have no accountability for themselves. @@kristophertibbets5986 When someone constantly talks about their exes in a negative light, without acknowledging their role or growth, it truly reveals a lack of self-reflection and accountability. As you wisely point out, this pattern can signal a cycle that will continue to repeat unless they address their behavior. It’s a red flag, not only because of the blame they project but because it shows resistance to personal growth-something essential for any healthy relationship. Do you think that people who are trapped in this cycle ever truly realize it, or do they need something profound to happen before they see the pattern for what it is?

We’ve been married 16 years and we both decided that we didn’t want to live in that space anymore, and another things is we didn’t want to die that way. What you’ve described-a space of safety, open communication, and mutual understanding-is the true essence of intimacy, far beyond the physical. It’s beautiful how you’ve embraced the idea of addressing issues as they arise, rather than letting them fester, creating an unshakable bond that allows you both to grow individually and as a couple. Truly enjoying these videos. Look forward to listening to this one! Edit: I think these principles would also apply in serious relationships. Even when both are exclusive to each other, a woman will "test" her man's resolve and how he handles challenges in a relationship. @@stoickingdomoffical I agree wholeheartedly. And as far as domination goes, it is always offered as an invitation. So in order to dominate from a position of growth you better know what you’re doing. Also I’d say that it’s the other way around; trust and respect are necessary components of leadership. Fostering this requires many things; from dealing with trauma and healing a needy inner child to subduing the carnal need for immediate sexual gratification, for a man cannot lead if pussy is leading him. A clear set of rules and boundaries fixed with rewards and punishments is key as well. I’d also include learning about the followers shortcomings and goals and providing a pathway to study and achievement. Mix in some other things and open sexual desire happens naturally from the mental and emotional freedom you inspire and allow. Hope that helps

summary: be patient, be a nice guy, do not express your feelings, keep them to yourself even if she provokes you, because it is more important what she may thinks about you than your emotional state. and also actively listen to her, feel her state and needs, and you better keep quiet because your words and opinions are not important. lol

It's a valid reflection on how high-value men often need to temper their emotions while deeply understanding and responding to those of others. However, there's a subtle power in this restraint-not out of fear of what she thinks, but because it demonstrates a man’s ability to stay grounded, to choose when and how to express his thoughts wisely. High-value communication isn’t about silencing oneself, but about mastering the art of connection with patience and purpose. You've touched on an important tension, though-how does one find the line between showing understanding and maintaining self-expression? What do you believe is the best way to ensure both voices in a relationship are truly heard?
@shadshads7933
@shadshads7933 Ай бұрын
@@stoickingdomoffical It's always important to remain yourself first and foremost. If you don't like something, just say so. It doesn't matter what she thinks. If you try to appear stoic without being stoic inside, you'll just be another nice guy who wants to be liked by others. High value takes years to build up. It can't just be, “Oh, from tomorrow I'm going to act like a stoic.” Even celebrities fall for provocation. My opinion is that you should always choose yourself and your emotional well-being first and foremost. Guys just should find an activity they enjoy, self-actualize in society and then they will be happy. And a happy person is rarely angry by default. Then they won't have to watch videos like this and learn how to be “patient.” without really being that on the inside.

@@shadshads7933 It’s about choosing yourself and your well-being, prioritizing self-actualization, and finding fulfillment in who you are rather than seeking validation from external sources. Your message reminds us that inner peace and happiness come from living authentically and doing what brings us joy, rather than trying to mold ourselves to fit the expectations of others. You’ve beautifully highlighted that real value isn’t something that can be faked or achieved overnight-it’s a lifelong commitment to growth. What are some of the activities or practices that have helped you personally in your journey toward self-actualization?

These things most men who're approaching their forties end up learning anyways when dealing with people in general. You cannot really teach this wisdom. It comes with the experience of living and interacting with people. This understanding will go over most younger men's heads. Therefore, this video is more effective at reinforcing what men of a certain age already know or are on their way to knowing. Life tends to make most men stoic anyways the longer we live.

There’s a profound strength in your ability to remain true to your nature, despite the external noise and labels others might impose on you. It's inspiring to see you navigating the fine line between self-respect and how society perceives assertiveness. The fact that you’ve recognized this tension is a step towards mastering not only Stoic philosophy but also your inner peace. It's fascinating how Stoicism helps us handle life's complexities, How do you personally reconcile the Stoic practice of emotional control with the anxiety that sometimes arises when you're misunderstood?

I think this is a pretty common thing. Don't be scared to walk out the room or completely leave the situation. If you feel disrespected and you make it known and they don't take it seriously, you aren't fully valued, and you are in the wrong environment. Do that once or twice and they will start taking you more seriously. Good luck.
@stoickingdomoffical
@stoickingdomoffical Ай бұрын
@@gregorymacdonald4620 Your advice to leave the situation, if only for a short time, speaks to the strength of setting boundaries and standing firm in your worth. It’s often in those moments of stepping back that people finally realize how much they underestimated or overlooked you. Have you ever experienced a situation where leaving made a significant impact on how others treated you afterward?

Letting things slide for the sake of peace can be noble, but when those moments of disrespect repeat, it’s only natural that a limit is reached. Your awareness of when to speak up shows strength, and it’s a reminder that being calm and composed doesn't mean tolerating mistreatment. How do you navigate the fine line between expressing your boundaries firmly and still preserving the harmony in the relationship?
