SayitSayuri Kinda, future Hiro stabbed Sylar, but Sylar survived due to Claire’s powers. So he goes back yo say, “save the cheerleaders save the world”. Sylar still survives, because Hiro cannot change the direct event that he traveled back for. All sorts of things can change around the event like the explosion in New York, but Sylar had to live. Present Day characters can travel to the future and travel back and change things, but for most of the series; traveling to the past to undo an event meant the event still happened.

This is when the series was still good. It has some missteps along the way, but stripping Peter of his powers was when it got to the point of no return of being garbage. Had the writer’s strike never happened, I wonder what directions Heroes would have gone.

Nah this was Season 3. Season 3 is the single most plot hole filed dreck ever put on television. It's the gold standard for nonsense plots for me to this day. The ONLY shows that ever came close to being this bad were late Dexter and the 3rd season of American Horror Story.

Because to start with he didn't have control over his powers and as the show progressed his powers began taking a toll on his health. The further back he travels the more damage it causes. Also because of the butterfly effect he could end up drastically changing the future.
