However much she liked to act like an idiot, coco's a genius. Asacoco literally condensed every notable thing that happened on every girl's stream the previous day, creating interest to the masses to watch said girls. It showacased future streams, events, birthdays, anniversaries, new outfits, debuts, 3d lives, and new merchandises. It meme'd people's mistakes to lighten them in the community's eyes. Reddit meme review generated tons of memes created by fans, featuring even other girls and making a connection with the en audience. She helped build a really strong community.

Saying that the talents isnt the reason for their success is terribly wrong. Yes hololive has a stupid amount of Luck to thanks for their success, the way both the talents And cover corp make use of those oppurtunities are the reason why they made it. Here's a quick shortened timeline of holo's success : > The christmas miracle. This was happened back in december 2017, during a collab Siro's (who was among the most popular vtuber at the time) stream had some technical issues and she directed her viewers to Sora's, hence inclined her to 2k+ viewers, and she managed to capture most of them, hence she got 2k sub by the end of the year. > Sora keep inclined after that with many successfull events like her Solar System Disco cover and performance during the fistt TubeOut. She also appear in national tv drama that has a full cast of vtuber. She also appears in many collabs, events, concerts, ads, promos, etc. Which made her became more known and later she'll use her fame to shill her kouhais and hololive. > After gen1 and not long after gen 2 debuted, they are quickly took off. FBK was quick to become popular with her witty banter and wide otaku knowledge. She and matsuri was a famous pair as their chemistry was really fit each other. > Next Aqua and Choco-sensei was leading the 2nd gen. It may come as a surprise but chocosen was really well known for her ASMR and the fastest grown among her genmates untill Aqua took off and youtube doing the massive ASMR purge which greatly killed her motivation. > Minato Aqua. This name is the key to hololive's global success. In 2019, seeing that the JP markets is full of competition, Yagoo decided to tried their luck on the china market. Aqua along with other holomem entered the china market through bilibili. And guess what? Aqua and FBK took off! Aqua with her LoL stream was really well received and beloved by bilibili's viewers. Heck it's not even an exaggeration to say she was bilibili's poster girl at the time. Hololive dominated bilibili and forever leave their mark even to this day. Their popularity then further inclined with the Azure Lane collab into the global market. All this gave birth to their first dedicated clipper namely Hololive Moment (fuck them) who spam their clips on YT side. This inspired other fans who love them to became clippers and help spread the name. This was how they started to spread their nets into the algorithym and *This was how most of us ended up here* . > Meanwhile, on the Japan side, Gen3 just debuted and they quickly gained a lot of traction too thanks to Noel's VA's fame in ASMR area. One historical event for them was Pekora's MGS stream which started her journey as the no.1 female streamer. There's also suisei's famous suicopath stream, and gen 4 debut by the end of the year along with suisei oficially joining Hololive main roster. Lastly, Miko's GTAV and ARK clips became viral > Entered 2020. Not wasting momentum, Hololive held their very first festival which was a huge success and manage to capture more sponsors towards them. > The holo net spread further and further into the algo and BOOM! they broke the international barrier and went viral (you know which clips), resulted on floods of international new fans flocked to hololive to checked them out. > Now here's THE MOST crucial part that change their destiny and why i said both the talents and the agency play their part. > *In the past*, nijisansi talent, Shizuka Rin got viral after the clip of Pewdpie react to her singing country road got viral. Many EN fans at the time went to checked her out but she refused to pander to them and her many hours of FF really turn a lot of people off. Ofc it's not her fault as it is up to her to decided what kinda fanbase she wants to cultivate (also the early ENfans was kinda annoying and spammy since we still dont know much about JPstream culture), but a missed oppurtunity is a missed oppurtunity. > on the other side, holo took this opportunity and very welcoming of their newfound international fans. Not to mention the perfect timing of coco, a bilingual talent, just had her debut. > Holomem was trying their best to communicate with their international fans despite how they(we) trashed the chat. Thank god the community was also welcoming and kindly explained the rules and the different in the streaming culture. This welcoming attitude from the talents and their fanbase then got passed down to newer fans and so on until it created a large and united community. >This unity and loyalty the fans had keep being spread around through various means (clips, fanarts, reaction channels, memes, etc.) and keep on bulding up until it's reaching it's peak during HoloEN debut and BROKE the algorithm forever in holo's favor. That's pretty much the not so short timeline. There's still much more factors and other things involved i didnt mention but those are pretty much the main stuff. Sorry for the bad engrish (am spanish esl desu) and Thank you for coming to my TedTalk

Fubuki is the first Vtuber who introduced me to Hololive, but I didn’t care more or less, hence I just first seen her in Azur Lane Collab. Then Coco is the one who pulls me into the Rabbit Hole of it entirely.Then Gura who makes me become a Shrimp Entirely. Still, without coco, I may not even know Gura, heck we don’t even have Gura if we don’t have Coco in Hololive. Aw man, now I am crying again

The Pettan one made me peek in the rabbit hole, the rabbit got me interested .. but then the dragon drag me down the rabbit hole. Wonderful video, and it brought back so many memories. 2020 was a hellish year filled with fear uncertainty, and Hololive was one of the few things that made me happy for very long while. I still remember stumbling upon my first clip of Matsuri, and then discovering Fubuki and Miko and Pekora, and found Kaichou's channel later. I don't watch Hololive as much anymore now, mostly just Calli and Kronii and some clips of the JP and ID members sometimes, but I'll always remember Hololive being a bright light for me in what was otherwise a very, very dark year. And I think that's probably true for a lot of people.

AKB48 released an awesome Chinese New Years Album that has since been taken down from KZbin; the album itself is good, the constant aggravating syncopation aside: it is called: "Chinese New Year Song". The mechanics behind Hololive thoroughly summarizes what makes it so sucessful.

I have to say, Froot was Actually the first VTuber I stumbled uppon. But thats more I was looking for something funny on a bad day on the Net. Coco I only know of her because of Lost Pause, he mentioned her sometime, I got curios and looked. Sadly, or some people will say your luck, I can't watch most of the VTubers, only compilations and Out of Context things or clips. I Live in germany and most VTubers stream when I sleep or work. And seeing that I work exclusivly at night, yeah no chance to watch the,. most of the time. How ever, because of my brother I heard the shit around Coco and CHina, I will not say anything there, aside that it was Utter Bullshit over a dumb reason. However the more I look into VTubers the more I wonder... Coco is a Legend in the VTuber community, and she continues as Kson, I am wondering, there are subtle hints, if Kson will take Project Melody's sublte offer, to join VShojo.
@lordrald092 жыл бұрын
I don't think Kson would want to join any companies now that she's successful on her own (even having sponsorship deals occasionally). Doesn't joining vshojo just lessens her cut on superchat more?
@meduielen84912 жыл бұрын
@@lordrald09 Not really. As far as I know, VShojo takes a small cut out of Sponsorship earnings. Everything else is the Talents own money. It comes, if remember right, with many benefits. After all, VShojo, while belonging to Twitch, was founded by Melody with Twitch and one of the things that makes VShojo different is that the Talents can pretty much do what they want, just with backing for Sponsorship and Merch. I don't think that Vei, Melody or Ironmouse would have joined VShojo if they take a huge chunk out of their earnings. all 3 where pretty successful going Solo. Thou, I don't know VShojo's stand on KZbin streams, tbh. That something I haven't thought of. Kson is mostly on KZbin, while VShojo is pretty much Twitch exclusive. Yeah, that could be a problem.

Your English is difficult to understand at times but this was an excellent look at Hololive. However I disagree with the importance placed on Coco. This is not to say she wasn't an important (and even legendary) part of Making HL what it is today but by many of the same factors Korone (and Fubuki) could be given as much credit. After all it was random clips that introduced so many to Hololive and no Vtuber has been clipped more than Korone (as documented by Holodex). Speaking from personal experience, Coco's vulgar style wasn't my cup of tea. Hilarious and adorable clips/memes of Korone, Fubuki, Miko, Pekora, Aqua etc. are what grabbed my interest and dragged me down the "rabbit hole". The wonderful family of all the HL personalities and fans together are what keeps me there.

Naah.... Im a hololive fan cuz they are funny as hell. Sure the other agencies have something like that, but we can't deny there are comedy gold in hololive. And technically, they look closer to each other than other groups, so when they get together the comedy becomes diamond, some might not be gold yet but in the presence of the comedy genius members they are like kuroko's baskbetball using share zone haha

What happened to your video about Hitotsubashi Group? There are so much to bring up about the anime industry. I think the manga market is what most people are interested in. No offense to light novels but the mainstream is manga where most sales happens. Hitotsubashi Group is the parent company of Shueisha and Shogakukan who are the kings of the mountain in the manga market. 70% marketshare. Kodansha being third by 20% and followed by Gangan with 6%. The gap between 3rd and 4th largest is big. I think Hitotsubashi Group, Kodansha, and Square Enix's Gangan deserves its own separate video.

I started vtubing indirectly because of Hololive. How did Hololive indirectly get me into vtubing? Well, there's two in my friend group who watch Hololive, then one day another in that group decided to become a vtuber. This was late 2020 iirc. Now we fast forward half a year or so from when they became a vtuber, and I am asking them if I should become a vtuber. They said I should, and well… I've now been a vtuber since July last year. Basically, my friend became a vtuber because they got inspired by Hololive I guess, then I became a vtuber after asking my friend if I should become one. Hololive indirectly brought me into vtubing

Amazing video I'd have loved it if you included the whole reason why she left and thereby how holocorp really destroyed the game Japanese idolism is extremely hard on its members, treating them (from a corporal perspective) really just like products. This is my huge problem with all of corporate vtubers; capitalism and its treatment of artists. I know they signed these contracts and propably still enjoy their jobs but it's something that needs light be shed upon
@SeisakuDesk2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the praise! Coco's departure deserves a video and a full investigation of its own. Things I won't do, because people already did that and I don't see any more relevant points to highlight. Coco already left, and she's happy in her indies journey. So, I'll move on. I'm pretty agree when you say that Vtubers corps (and *some* fans) are so demanding that talents must meet requirements they clearly cannot. It's like when Hollywood which wanna exploit a successful franchise to the last droplet, except we're talking of humans. I bet the girls know that when they sign their contract, but not much when everyone praises them and superchats comes by hundreds.
