It’s easy , use a clay lightener and free paint . That’s what it translates to , hand paint highlights . It looks more natural, just remember to weave and tease however far you want to go and saturate, like the toothpaste consistency and let to lighten . And use a toner that’s ether a 6-7-8 .

I have been doing high lights/low lights w/root color to cover grays every 6 weeks for years. I told my hairstylist I didn't want to do highlights with bleach anymore. She told me that you can't "lift" color on hair that has been treated previously. You could only lift color on natural hair and with my color it would be more orangey than golden. Does that sound right to you? I love having highlights to break up my mousy brown hair, but HATE how dry it looks! TIA 🙂
