Seeing a transformer just turn into a robot without any kibble (like at 2:46) is kinda cool in itself. It just folds open like some space origami robot and gets to work. Says a lot when you can make a low effort transformation like this seem so fluid and right.
@rhashadcarter205115 күн бұрын
@@timothyt.82 they are all low effort for me at this point because it’s so straightforward. but ther is a ton of kibble on this bot. the legs arms and chest are covered in the alt mode pieces as armor and the turbine backpack is from the inside of the jet.

Thank you but how did you make dread wasp because Optimus prime is made out of 10,000 pieces and I was wondering when your 3D modeling how do you not get caught up in all of the pieces like what is your base look like when you're modeling a transformer and do you make a skeleton first I'm confused
@rhashadcarter205117 күн бұрын
@@okingzap7792 10k pieces includes screws, windows, etc. the pieces don’t necessarily mean that there’s a bone for each of those pieces. For example Dreadwasp’s head is made of multiple pieces but there’s only one bone that moves who head, same for his neck and his arms also. I completed the body parts in sections, for example, I could do arms, then legs, then the torso.
@rhashadcarter205117 күн бұрын
@@okingzap7792 depending on the shape of the robot, I make a sculpt and use a zbrush plugin to make pieces out of a mask outline and then I sculpt the shape. But for Dreadwasp it was just modeled hard surface based on a drawing I did.

Hasbro should hire you Seriously, the latest TF shows have been really lacking in the animation department
@rhashadcarter205117 күн бұрын
@@Voodooeddoll It’s not because they don’t have good animators it’s because they have tight deadlines and smaller budgets. if I wasn’t being paid a lot I would lose passion for it. and it would reflect in my work. the reason I crank out the amount of transformers animation that I do is because i’m free to make them at my own will and I have full control and i’m passionate about it. if I worked for paramount i’d become a cog in a machine who doesn’t get to be creative. as I have worked Industry jobs before, I don’t particularly like them, I just like the money. My first game I worked on was hogwarts legacy, second was marvel midnight suns. the hype wears off after a while and it just become a job. That being said I did temporarily work with paramount and excision on transformers one promo. so that’s a thing. but I have no desire to become a long term employee at any media based company
@Voodooeddoll17 күн бұрын
@rhashadcarter2051 I didn't know you worked on notable games previously, that's impressive! But, yeah, I know animators are overworked and underpaid, I was kinda pointing out how cheap Hasbro/Paramount have been with TF shows lately and how it'd be nice to see some smarter investment in the future
