I generally use a slab for big batches but that also depends on the design. If i have to do an angled design then yep loaf molds lol.

Same same! I do love a tall and skinny and really want a tall and skinny triple slab. But this year, I asked for the family to pool funds to get me the caterpillar log splitter/bar cutter for Christmas. So… I’ll have to see if I get some birthday money so I can buy myself that mold. 😊

It was me! Thank you so much! Whenever I get my butt back up to WA we’ll have to get together and I can attempt to film the big batch without missing anything! Haha! Thank you so much for doing this! I seriously just couldn’t wrap my head around it, but splitting the oils in half and mixing the second batch halfway through makes sense. I mean, I’m not doing 200 bars at a time at this point, but I think I may need to double my batches going forward. It might mean I don’t have the same variety as I currently do, but I think on a simplifying processes vain, it’s probably what I need to do. Currently, there are several soaps and products I don’t have up on the site because I don’t like updating the site and it take so long. I don’t like writing copy for descriptions. It’s not really in my wheelhouse. Then there’s all the other things to include, taking and editing photos, etc, etc. I just want to make! Haha! Thank goodness for AI! At least for writing descriptions that don’t end up sounding exactly the same from one soap to the next. Those soaps are so cool and can see the okapi inspiration for it. Very creative! Thanks again!

I use do loaf molds for the very same reason -- You cannot pull me away from a soap until I've sculped the top. Flat tops give me anxiety. And I also hate having to measure and cut based on a slab. Love your videos!

I do my big batches in a 17.5x17.5 slb mold that makes 85 bars.

Hey! Mr makes all my molds. These particular ones are made from MDF, which is not the best wood for this project but we had a bunch of leftovers from other projects taking up space in the garage so I insisted. 😂
