Man, both of these look really good. I think for my game I'd prefer the GB5 since it looks a little smoother at the break point. I feel like the Idol is more likely to jump through the face if you make the kinds of misses I ordinarily do.

GB5 seems to grab the lane just a little bit better than the Optimum Idol, even if the Idol looks to get into an earlier roll/hook. These bowling balls would be good options for a step down or transition ball in my opinion. When you need something strong but, not too strong like a Reality for example. Both bowling balls look nice on the lane, thanks for the review.
