I even follow my food cravings, or at least interpret them as a need for a certain nutrient or something specific. But thanks a lot for the helpful video bro, I’ll check out the others soon. And I will definitely be trying to add stretch #2 to my regular plan and see how it goes! ✌🏼🧘🏻♂️

I started a program of qi gong to improve stability of my lower body and developed stitching hip pain that became a constant misery. After going to my doctor & chiropractor, who took Xrays and MRI, I was told I have degenerated joints due to age and arthritis, and advised to rest, stay off my feet & given pain medication. Rest only made the pain worse, keeping me up at nights. Am so glad I found your channel! Now I know I was given bad advice. I started the hip and inner thigh stretches to retrain my muscles, and it has made a world of difference! I'm easing back into qi gong now - much wiser for taking *your* advise. Thank You.

LIFE CHANGING Thank you The hip pain you described is to the T exactly the same as mine. Never heard anyone describe exactly what I feel. Got an MRI 13 years ago and got the “chronic arthritis” diagnosis. It’s been slowly getting worse over the years, (my own fault) and I was honestly close to losing the faith and going back to the doc. But I’m stubborn and a student of anatomy, mainly muscles, and I have always known it was the muscles. It is so refreshing to hear someone say what I believe, but saiid with more knowledge, facts, and better articulated. I’ve been watching your vids and following your stretching work for 4 days and finally it makes sense to me, and the work I’ve been doing is already showing results. I’ve got a lot of work ahead I have terrible atrophy of Medius, Minimus, TFL, and Rec Fem. But finally I see results and light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you so much, I already know all I have to do is keep at it and I’ll be pain free or close in the near future.

It has been 1 year since I was diagnosed with arthritis in my left hip, and 4 years prior to that I was diagnosed with a laberal tear by a different surgeon who told me to rest it, move less and dont take the joint through a full range of movement......at this point I was a fitness coach, PT and massage therapist for 14 years.....so no chance of that. At the time I worked with and knew physiotherapist, osteopaths, coaches from different sports, and physiotherapist who focus on rehab post hip surgery. They all said the same thing, avoid the surgery if you can, focus on nutrition, and strengthen the area (create structural balance). I can now squat my body weight and more, previously I couldn't, I was very week on my left side of my body, now I am alot stronger and have less pain in my hip and leg. Oh and my range of movement has improved massively (still a long way to go). Your channel has helped me on that journey, so thank you 👍🏿🇬🇧

I recently strained my hip muscles causing my femur to eventually pop out of my hip joint. Yes, I dislocated my hip. I did have it popped back in by my chiropractor with follow up and tests with my medical doctor. No fracture, "just muscle". Still significant pain and impaired mobility. I am a 55 yr old hard working food production employee. My chiropractor has helped significantly with my alignment. However, I needed to strengthen my front and side hip muscles, heck, even my butt muscles. Matt, I found your videos and truthfully watching you do the "frog" and other stretching positions actually caused me to feel pain and I cringed thinking about some of those positions. Well...I tried them. And I must say, "THANK YOU!" You have made quite a difference in my flexibility, mobility, ambulation and physical well being. No more pain or walking with a cane...getting stronger day by day.

That's super helpful, 3 months of ass pain almost gone, now to do some contractions. Note that the cause was due to excessive use of squatting with a hip circle band, followed by a strained back. Thanks very much for the video.

I love this. It's like training animals where you capture what you want to train. I have always tried to isolate where I'm hurting and capture it and work on stretch it, release etc.

Found your videos about hip pain some days ago because having them right now again and going to the doctors wasn't that successful until now. Last year I had hip pain so bad that I couln't walk properly anymore without pain. I have to say I'm 23 years old and do dancing 3x a week so I shouldn't be that stiff, I guess. And could relate sooo much when you talked about your hip pain at this time. So I'm gonna try the exercises you recommend in your vids. Hoping it will also reduce my popping hip. I already want to thank you just for making me feel like, I'm not alone with that and calming me down by giving me hope. 😊🙏🏼

Matt, your videos and information are very good but the last two minutes of this one are the most insightful and excellent advice I've heard. I've been thinking the same thing (I've been dealing with a back/hip/leg problem for 2.5 yrs. and have heard numerous times "why don't you get a back operation?") but the way you expressed it was right on. Nice work. I subscribe to the notion that "motion is lotion" and your description summed it up beautifully.

I love your channel! Every single time I watch one of your videos I feel I can do this, I can get back on track and beat whatever pain it is I have. Thank you! Also I don't trust in doctors knowing everything any more. About20 or more years ago I had some issues with my neck and one doctor wanted to operate on my disc's! What ended up helping me was time and gentle Tai chi movements. I have scoliosis so I'm used to living with imbalance and pain, what always helps me most is moving, mostly walking.

Great video. You're better than many doctors. Experience is a better educator than book knowledge. Thanks for a good video.

Man... watching your videos and what you went through in your mid 20s and what I'm going through in my mid 30s are so similar! I'm an electrician and we were pulled off work for 6 weeks when covid started. Came back and I went too hard and tore a muscle in my mid back (lat or erector). Then i started working at a desk and always sitting on the floor with my 2 year old. Injured my hip (glute medius). After rehabbing that, I pinched a nerve in my shoulder going back to work. Then tried a doorway stretch and injured both shoulders now somehow. My body feels like it's failing me! It's really helpful seeing you out on the other side and back healthy. My mental health is struggling. It's so hard with a little one to let your body heal and avoid movements that agitate them.

So good -thanks -have worked my muscles too hard owning horses -am old but look younger but stiff-have sciatica and groin pull-this is so helping-just did the yoga position of wrapping knees and elbows around each other either direction after doing your stretches-miracle-I hate definitely hate ego driven doctors and all their wretched phone people who shield them and uphold their lies.thanks for the help Debra

Again. Thank you Matt. Your exercises Never fail to help and improve my issues. Explanations also very helpful and easy to understand. Just enough techno stuff so I learn. This one really helped and I didn't know how tight and weak those hip muscles were. wow. just one time and it relieved the pain. This is another keeper. Thank you.
