Have suffered from FC for years. Will try your suggestions. I keep maintains that "OLD AGE AND SENILITY WILL KILL YOU, YOU JUST HAVE TO LIVE LONG ENOUGH " keeping yourself active helps prevent a lot of pain. Nice weather really helps also. Keep us updated.

There is heel fat pad syndrome too, sometimes people get that simultaneously with PF. I walk more than a mile daily, and got both of these together. I had arch supports a little too high (higher than my normal footwear) and also shoe drop more than optimum. I did a lot of the same stuff you did, plus I bought wider shoes close to zero drop, and ones that allowed my toes to splay out without being squeezed (hard to find shoes for wide feet, that also had all of these features). It took about 7 months for me, but I’m back now. Thanks for sharing the experience, nice to know you had success with some of the same rehab techniques that I used.

Now I have to read about Heel Fat pad syndrome! I don’t know that one! Thanks for passing this along. Yes! A lot of people recommend zero drop shoes. I have been a zero drop person for a very long time, and just a few months ago STOPPED because i wanted more support to help an ankle injury heal…. I hadn’t considered that i was more prone to PF because I moved away from zero drop…. Another thing to consider.

developed PF on right foot and heel spurs standing on linoleum floors in a science lab for years. researched "cures" was painful and debilitating: found these worked: changed shoes; cut hole for heel bone; rolled bare-foot on a soda can stretching out ligament; Condition got "better" never 100% leaves, took OTC took anti-inflammatories, discovered condition "worse" when stressed or ill. I do find splinting foot at night therapeutic. have condition, but I know now how to mitigate.
