How I beat Trackmania's Hardest Tower Speedrun

This is the Trackmania map 'Getting Over It'. The goal is simply to speedrun to the top of the tower as fast as you can.. but doing it perfectly requires a lot of precision and patience. This is my journey towards the Tower Speedrun World Record.

Classic here 👋 we had a team of 8 builders for this one and everyone got a layout of a empty floor given by sparklingW (the host) we then proceeded to build all at the same time and when a floor was fi ished we all hopped into a testing session to make sure there were no bigger casualties with the floor and to make sure the floor was fun to play. After that we sorted all the floors by difficulty and decided on where each floor had to be placed. SparklingW then proceeded to take each fllor and stack them on top of each other. There were a few problems with that, for example itmes that we used that he didn't had in his library. In the end, after the tower was done we did a last testing session that spam over a few months to really make sure everything was as we planned. Now we just waited until someone of us was able to verify the map. Tekky then just did a 20 min time and we decided that was enough. (we seriously thought that 15 min would be max). At that time the project had been going on for a couple of months and we were so happy that this map had been played by so many and that so many insane clips were made :')

I never was that involved in Trackmania just played it with my brother every once in a while but ever since I saw the first video of yours, I started getting fascinated by this game. I've never played this game, and prior to seeing your vids I'd never even heard of it, but your youtubery on this game as a subject is masterful. I've bookmarked no fewer than 5 of your videos (including this one) as possible classroom homework assignments in a course that I teach. For future videos, do you think you could shed some spotlight on the "adjacent angles" of this game? Rather than focusing explicitly on the driver / player as the only protagonist in any of the stories, why not some love and attention placed on the apparently-unsung-heroes that design tracks? Does anyone design tracks on stream? In particular, I wanna know about PF maps, how they're made, how to critically assess PF tracks as works of art, and maybe some of the historical notables? Have there been any tracks similar to the one made by DoodleChaos, where the pf map was synched to music?

Really great job on that speedrun! You see, this track reminds of a Roblox game, Juke's Towers of Hell, it's basically a parkour game with almost the same concept as this track. Currently there are around 250 towers. Really difficult aswell.
