This is the second video I’ve watched about how to make it as an artist and from what I’ve gathered it’s more about knowing how to market and be a good salesman rather than talent or technical skill

I personally feel you need both. But I do agree you need to be business minded and work really hard at your craft

Hey Claire, Firstly, big congratulations on all you've achieved. The graft and dedication to get to where you are, especially being a one-person team, is something that really inspires me. I have loads of questions! But my main request (if not too intrusive) would be: 1) Would be great if you could list some of the main techniques you use for editing and what they're used for (eg frequency separation to smooth out the skin) etc. A lot of people don't actually know what they don't know, so having a mini checklist like this would be a great starting point to do our own research on.

Hey Lovely, firstly thank you so much for your lovely comment! Secondly this is a really great suggestion. I have been planning different formats of videos that could help with editing that I feel reflects my work. I think your suggestion would make a great video and I will try and do this in the next few weeks.

Thanks for making the video. Environmentally there’s only one thing I’d like to add is that you try and reuse the plastic take the time to remove it rather than cut it away where it may not be able to be used again. Your work is fantastic, must be nice for your passions and your work to come together.

Thank you for this video Claire! I am following your work for quite sometime and trying myself out as an artist. Ineed I needed this video right now, as it's my first week after I resigned my 9 to 6 job. So I guess it's the universe talking to me through your words! Thank you!

Great video Claire! I also work in architecture and won awards at my final year exhibition at UCL. However; I studied architecture, not fine art. I have dreams of becoming an artist, but find the balance of full-time work and producing work difficult. Especially as my artistic practice is a fairly time consuming painting method. Great stuff though, inspiring story.

Hello Claire ! As I told you in a private message thank you so much for sharing your inspiring and beautiful journey !! As I follow your work on Instagram, I can see différents mood in your work and I enjoy that you fully share different themes in your work. Quick question about the way your choose to share your work. Do you first publish a new piece online and then exhibit the series? or work on a series and then when it is public you can publish it online ? Or it it a mix between those two ways of showing your artwork ? I am asking because as we are in the pandemic I find hard to keep secret some of my work waiting for the next exhibition which might need to wait for a better period of time !! Thanks a lot for your sharing it makes your art even more emotional and interesting ! Aline
@claireluxtonart3 жыл бұрын
Hello Aline! Thank you so much for your lovely message! Thats a really good question, and that answer is really in two parts, or two sections. I try to work in parallel. So I will have spontaneous work or content that I work on all the time and share as I go, these works may later end up in exhibitions but they are made in the moment, as you have guessed other wise I would have nothing to post while I keep projects and exhibitions secret! At the same time over a longer period of time I will be working on projects and more meaningful collections that I wait to share for collections or exhibitions! I hope that makes sense :)

One eye and butterfly symbolism = freemasonry. Lovely artwork but the freemasonic symbolism isn't great.
@claireluxtonart Жыл бұрын
one eye and butterfly symbolism has many meanings, the symbolism includes purity, spiritual transformation, good luck, and prosperity.

@@melaniebaynes2730 dose your tin foil hat fit well?
@melaniebaynes27307 ай бұрын
@@myskiewcJust because you haven't studied/learnt about the same things others have, doesn't mean you get to dismiss and scoff. I dare say that you don't know that that very term, "conspiracy theory", and all the other derogatory descriptives, including 'tin foil hat', were invented by the CIA, in order to discredit the truth that was being revealed about the assassination of JFK. Your not being aware doesn't mean it isn't true. So congratulations, you have swallowed the pill you were supposed to, and joined in with their programme. Instead of mocking, do humanity a favour, and go and do some research of your own. You are in for one heck of an awakening.

So inspiriring. Random question, what camera are you using to record all of this?
@claireluxtonart3 жыл бұрын
Thank you lovely! So It's a mix between two cameras. Most of the content is shot on my Canon 5D IV, but also a mix of my Canon G7X
