If you are able to move, look into rad tech programs at CCs in the midwest. A lot of them are not competitive and no waitlist because well...most people don't want to live out there/boring. But for only 2 years, once you get your AAS and pass your exam you can just move somewhere better. Plenty of access to nature though and also LCOL

Congratulations 👏🎉!!! I am currently in the Cardiovascular Technology program which starts in the Spring and end at the end of the following Spring semester. So I will be graduating May 2024. We are able to take our Registry exam 6 weeks before graduation and I will be planning accordingly to do so! I hope nothing but the best in your journey. Come back and tell us how's working going for you after at least 1 month of training so we can know is it everything you expected and are you doing everything that you learned in school and clinical's, etc. Can't wait for the work experience update!

Where are you studying radiography and the minimum requirements? The reason I'm asking this questions is that if I don't qualify to radiography in South Africa, I would like to go and study abroad. it's mostly community colleges that offer X-ray programs for your associate in science degree in radiography I currently attend a community college for the X-ray program I start August 19th the classes aren't that hard but I'm in a smaller city in the United States Florida to be exact

Nice!! Honestly probably an A-B average but the better that you do in your prerequisite classes, the higher chances you’ll have of getting into a program! (If it isn’t a lottery selected program)

@@ugonwaanyakoha548 Yes, in total it took me 4 years to earn my degree. 2 years worth of prerequisites & 2 years in the rad tech program. There are also private 2-year programs that are more pricey but you won’t have to take prerequisite classes prior! (:

@@ugonwaanyakoha548jus google radiology schools within your area. I live in Dallas and my community college offers a 2 year degree. Prerequisites could take you a year. One advantage of a community college is that is way cheaper compared to private schools. Every community college is different in regards to prerequisites

Yes! Especially in a hospital setting.
