What a joke. In the first 30 seconds the guy says he's FAST and STRONG - those are TALENTS. You are born either with the potential for speed and power or not - the vast majority of people are born with neither. If he turned pro at 16 and represented Denmark at every youth level he's hardly talentless.

Yussuf is a role model to be honest. A lot of talents have come short in their careers, because of their mentality and attitude. There's players who have great talent but bad attitude... like Ravel Morrison, Januzaj, Babel, Diouf, Robinho, Adu, Courtois. There are also many other players lower in talent but had/have a perfect attitude and great work rate and/or athleticism - Heskey, Kante, Keane, Park. And then you have the rare combo of great talent, athleticism and attitude which gives you the (consistent) world class players. Of course Messi and Ronaldo are two examples of this. Though I would definetly say Messi is higher on talent and Ronaldo is higher on attitude/determination and athleticism.

I looked him up on Football Manager and yes, he is somewhat technically 'limited' for a striker that plays for such a top team. 11 finishing, 11 technique, 12 first touch, 11 anticipation, 10 composure and 12 dribbling is terrible for a striker, but it must be his 19 work rate that makes him the player we know about

A major thing left out from this is that he didn't turn down the top danish clubs and go to a 3rd division german team just as a random 'risk'. RB Leipzig had just been bought by red bull and were paying players way about market value to come to their club. He went because they would've paid way more than the danish clubs would have, even though they were much lower ranked.

Talent is skill not a born skill, everyone gets great because of practice noone is born to play it's all love and dedication, Maradona played everyday since he could walk and he taught himself to play good at 6 and juggled the ball everyday, developed both feet and accuracy, he practiced more than everybody else in Argentina and he was the most skillful bc of that not some gift. Yes some people have speed and height, long arms, bigger head, broad feet and shoulders but everyone in football is trained player either by themselves or by a coach or themselves and a coach. Maradona was already a great player and could do everything that academy players at Barcelona could do at that time and more at 18, even earlier, he had more skills than players who were pro when he was just 12.

the mean of the word "talent" seems to me to be different in "soccer" than it means in an American context. To Americans "talent" often translates to being physically gifted with height, speed and a muscular build along with coordination and skill. In the context of world football "talent" seems to refer to what someone can do with the ball meaning it's more about skill than physical traits.
