Well well well... The Lincoln guy is on a video about a Cadillac. Jokes aside, I actually rather like this generation of Deville. They are extremely comfortable, spacious, and offer a very nice ride. They are based on the same FWD GM C-Body platform as my Park Avenue.

@@iliketowncars The next car I want to buy is actually a 1980-1984 RWD Sedan Deville. I want to paint it all black with a slicktop. Like the car in my profile picture. Will likely swap a carbureted Chevrolet 350 into it if I end up getting an HT4100 equipped model. Would want a Deville as the roof treatment is more favorable to slicktop conversions (The 80-84 Deville actually could be had with a factory slicktop, believe it or not), and I also prefer the door panels and wheel covers. Early 80s Devilles also tend to go for less than the later 80s Fleetwood/Brougham models.

Cheap luxury cars are almost never worth buying. Parts are expensive and repairs are difficult plus they don't hold resale value well. You almost always spend more fixing it then it's worth. When buying old cars stick to ones that have high resale values ex: Honda's, Toyotas, Chevy with 5.3/ Ford's with 4.6 engines.
