I had to put 50% down. With over a 700 score and high income to even be considered. Blows my mind on how they even sell those things with such high standards. What’s even more crazier is how 19 year olds get these considering I have years of solid credit history with high limits on multiple American Express cards. But congratulations on pulling it off you must have had help somewhere.

I had zero debt and a score of around 720 with a decent income for my age. My mom cosigning was definitely a help for me to get approved. All worked out though, I actually just paid it off in full last week, almost 3 years early. Still have no debt and got my full time career already going!

Maybe it was your debt/ to income ratio that was effecting you ? I usually buy all my cars through my local credit union because of the extremely low rates / easy approval for me since I have history with them

if your credit is under 700 n you cant pay the car in 3 years dont do it. if your under 25 drive a used car till your wealthy enough for a new car. dealers are rip offs will never give u a good deal,they are thieves n will eat you alive if ur credit is low n your young

@@cobyveron my credits 850 and im 35 years old.drive a car only 20% percent of your annual income. never discuss monthly payments to dealers n get preaproved at credit union. so if you make 50k a year you shouldnt drive anything more than 15k. buy a used car with under 20k miles let some other fool take the depreciating hit. last month i left the general manager at dealer speechless because i caught him trying to scam my parents,we walked out. be careful no youngster should drive anything new,,be smart think different dont b buried in car debt...

how much can you afford a month thats what they love to say, your response is "im negofiating price of car not the pYment" i dont trust no dealer never finance through them. the salesmen couldnt say anything to me bacause i was too smart for them. it takes years to have knowledge,salesmen play lots of games n if you walk in blindly broke n desperate you will get scammed to a 7 year loan. ill rather put 700 extra to my mortgage than drive a car thats loosin value everytime the wheels turn. be wise n enjoy life but be smart about it.

Im 19, bought my v6 2017 for 19k, after all the new tires and taxes it came out to 23k. Iv paid about 15k in the last 5 months. The only thing that hurts is the insurance. def going for a 350 in a year or two

Wait till you graduate highschool and work a fulltime job somewhere and save up a lot of money. Also get into stocks and options at an early age. Thats how you will make lots of money at a young age. I looked at a 2011 gt with roush package it was 22k w 45k miles clean very nice but I would be doubtful affording it even with 1600 a month after taxes lol. Congrats bro

It's been great so far. Right now I'm about 4,600 miles and I've had no issues with the engine, also had my first oil change five days ago. If I were you I'd look for a 2013 5.0 because of the taillight update and bump in 15 horsepower from the 2011-2012 5.0. Thanks for the sub!

I bought a 16 v6 mustang for 19k when I was 21, I was gonna go for a GT but at the time GTs were selling for over 30k for good used ones. Too young to be in so much debt. If I would have went for the GT I would have been around 25k in debt.

I have a part time job, money saved up & my sister has great credit the car is a 2018 GT currently 35k IF I get payments at 485$ I can do that BUT how much did you pay for insurance? I’m also a full time student 2 years to go and I’m done with my B.S.

Congrats on the saved up money. I pay $125 for Farmer's insurance monthly with my mom listed as a secondary driver, helps out a bit to have an accident free driver as a secondary. Best of luck in your remaining 2 years in college!

@@carlosg2677 Yes the transmission does try to rev match but it can be a little bumpy because of the 10 speed, and the car only seems to do it in sport mode

This is some terrible advice; What about paying for a car in cash something used & reliable. Following Yolo advice. Your mom and you will always have financial issues; 2008 was not an isolated incidence. Good credit and a brand new car are not the most important things in life. how about saving for a house or establishing a career and or trying to be a moral person those aren't important? That car will be worth nothing in 6 years and hopefully the head gasket dose not start leaking LOL. Smart to have your mom cosign that way if theres a repo both your credits affected. 6% apr is not great btw neither is the fact you’re financing it for six years.
