Been trying for purples for about 2 years. But i did get what i been calling earth morphs. Gold and blue= jade then bred jade and blue= bold jades then bred those with gold and got blue green and gold colors almost like mini planets.

I got purple by accident in less than a year after I got my female got about 30 young adults 15-17 are purple mom was ivory dad is brown shell with the translucent stripes

I’m trying to find some purple ones and blue n ivory ones I have currently 3 Golden shell ones I did have 5 but two have sadly died so randomly in these past few months but I’ve gotten 2 brown shell ones and new 2 black shell ones I have over 100 baby snails as well because the golden and brown have bred like crazy 😂 never knew they’d just keep going

I find breeding and hatching to be the easy part. It’s shell quality and die off that are more work imo.

Banded Mystery snails are a huge problem for US waters. They are prolific breeders and they clog lake bottoms eventually leading to the pungent smell of dead snails. So please, never place any snails in the natural environment. If you need to break down an aquarium please kill all the snails or give to a friend. I live on an infested lake in Northern Wisconsin and we have manually extracted over 50 gallons of snails just this year in only 1500 feet of lake shore.

Mystery snails from the aquarium trade don't survive in northern waters. They have cousins that cause problems and are regulated.

I have 8 mystery snails both male and female. I have seen numerous clutches over the past 9 months. Some of the clutches unfortunately had fallen into the tank. But, the other clutches still on the top above the water line have not produced any viable snail babies. I’m beginning to think all of the clutches are infertile. Any thoughts or suggestions?
