@Icedtea-k3f the beautiful thing about life is you truly can MAKE those things happen. And I know how difficult it can be some days. How youre using all your energy just to...well...function. but nothing is stopping you from at least planning it. Hit up your friends. Even if its just 1 person. Nothing starts until we decide to start it. You got this. And like you said. There's still time. Just don't let that time fly by. It will be gone before you know it.

As someone who also went on a 8 hour hike that turned into a very steep 12 hour struggle, definitely don’t go on long hikes unless you are in shape for it. You either strength train your legs until you have quads for days and run like you’re training for a 5k or you die. I made the mistake of focusing solely on the 5k part and it was the incline that killed me more than anything. I was at the point of not being able to walk faster than a slow crawl by the end of it and I literally couldn’t walk or stand the next day

I actually did this track about eight years ago as well, and I managed to get through relatively unscathed, apart from some scratches I sustained when slipping on some loose soil. It was definitely one of the most beautiful walks of my life, but you really need to be prepared for it. I am a pretty experienced stroller, so that explains why my knees didn’t give way back then😛. Nevertheless it was fun to see you have so much fun with your friends. I wish I had a group of friends like that.
