wondered how you get the covers on the cushion foam. Vacuum makes it look so easy.

Springs are the best, those sssss type springs are not as durable. Excellent workmanship.

What kind of machine do you use to stitch the seams? Like at the armrests, backing pillows etc? Are these all stitched separately and then put on or is there a machine that can stitch in place on the couch frame?

Parts are sewed separately then upholstered. I use a Consew 206-rb

What type of wood is this. I was thinking of building a couch out of poplar and worried it might be too soft

Is it cheaper to buy the materials to make your own?
@charles-antoineclement12209 ай бұрын
Sometimes its not cheaper but its custom and more durable. Nowadays a lot of furniture is made to be replaced instead of beeing padded back.

Furniture comes in varying quality. Dyi is cheaper per the quality, but you have to be skilled enough to do it. Obviously, it’s cheaper for me to build my own, but very few are qualified to do so due to having the various skills involved. This particular video is primarily for entertainment value and helpful to skilled shops.
