It's always good to have other ways to make money but I think a lot of people think youtube is the way to go and every year it gets harder to make money on youtube You have to have a certain amount of subscribers to even be able to make money and than depending on likes ect its not easy or fast income. Investing is also a great way but I would encourage people to talk to a professional before diving in and never start something like that in times like these if you have no idea how your going to pay your bills if this continues for the next couple of months. Only invest when you have money to lose and know that once again it should not be about a quick profit but for the long haul.

@@freedominabudget Couldn't agree more. Nick and I had some time on Zoom this weekend. Turns out we have a lot in common, besides an obsession with organizing money and financial freedom--several mutual friends and we're actively in the process of downsizing to travel full-time. Let me know if I can be of any support on the real estate side. Not an expert--but well versed and have a lot of 7 & 8 figure friends in the business. I'm easy to find on FB if you'd like to connect.

Do you plan on getting a mortgage on the rental property? Or buying the rental outright? Did you pay cash for your current home or have a mortgage?
@freedominabudget4 жыл бұрын
Yes, we will be getting a mortgage on the rental property and we also have a mortgage on our home. We live in a very high cost of living part of the US. Typical mortgage here is between $300-500k.
@sosweetstill4 жыл бұрын
@@freedominabudget We do too. We live in South Florida, but luckily were able to have lived in New Jersey which allowed us to pay cash for our home here in South Florida. We have over 3000 sq feet of living space and a 2 story home which is kinda rare in FLA and it was 5 years old when we moved in. But no way did it cost 300 to 500K. You better be living on the beach for that money! LOL

how could i open a roth ira? like i don’t understand the concept. if i’m putting my non emergency fund savings in there am i just dumping it onto a platform and storing it there while auto investors invest it for me? i don’t get it. and do i need to do it through my bank?
@freedominabudget4 жыл бұрын
Hi Kayla, I would recommend doing some research on IRAs so that you fully understand them before investing in one. :)
@burntblonde29252 жыл бұрын
I would recommend opening a Roth IRA with your credit Union, if your employer doesn’t have a 401K thru your employer. Roth IRA is money you’ve already pain taxes on and you can with withdraw at age 59 1/2 with no penalty and no taxes.

Investing when the market is low, is the BEST time to invest. Just do your due diligence on what companies are going to rebound, and don’t do it because you NEED the cash... do it to make extra money, with some expendable cash flow. Don’t rely on it to be an actual income.
