Bad ass. I’ve been putting off building my large oven. Was going to use a double oven, but this seems way more practical with the propane

right on brotha! yeah when i first built mine i used the electric elements out of a double stacker oven. it worked, but not hot enough for that much volume. the propane heats much quicker and easier, and with the correct air mix burns totally clean.

How far in between did you drill the holes for the burner?

Saw part one ☝️ an like the old style but this one way better… great like the new shop. U just gave me the idea I was looking for my heating . Was stuck on that part .

That’s bad ass bro ! Do you have to shield the flames to prevent contact to the objects being coated ?

what nozzle is that you're using as the gas pilot?

Maybe stupid question and I really want to do this idea but what's stopping the propane from lighting in the pipe and back to the tank ?
@levimckeen32982 жыл бұрын
So, alot of this stuff is a great idea. I own a company that makes custom gas fire places. And using your tank as a regulator is sooo dangerous. 😳 it's even more dangerous when you have the venturi that close to the flame. If a fly or per say a piece of plastic was to cover that venturi. Something could happen very easily. Also u wouldn't need that valve if u had 2 ever sides to your burner. Still an awesome video. Not alot of people do, or know about NPT pipe and what you can do

does it loose alot of heat from under the door?

How long does it take to get up to temperature. Been thinking of doing a hybrid system with gas or a bullet heater to get up to temperature faster then let electric elements hold temp

Hi, im planning on making a similar oven, how much does that propane tank lasts?

Do you have any issues with hot spot at the bottom? Also how long does it take to heat up? Will it get up to 450-500f degrees? Great build. I’m about to build one. I am looking at gas burner blower units. They are $500 and up. They are what comes on most big ovens. I’m going for 6x6x17 long. I really like your burner idea.

I'm a little late, but I would Install a solenoid valve in main gas line. Operated off a thermostat, then drill and tap an 1/8 inch hole before the solenoid and run pilot light off that...just an idea 😁

great video but did you know some powders explode when close to open flame . id put a 1/4 inch thick bit of 2 x 2 inch angle over all flames bout 2inch above , thatll keep you safe n the angle will spread the heat evenly

That is why I have seen some guys build hybrid ovens. They use the propane to get the oven up to temp, and then kick the electric heating coils on. Also some other channel I saw raised a questions of condensation in the oven using gas? Cant remember it was over a few years ago.

I've tried different ways for heating. But been having trouble. I have a 4x4x6 i saw your video and decided to do the same for heating. i just finished this tubing method last night but i cant figure out why flame goes out when i shut the door. If i have the door open flame stays on.
@jeffgolden44432 жыл бұрын
you do have to have venting near the top and bottom to let fresh air in and some out or youll burn up all the oxygen in the box which will put your flames out.

I'm still running with the 80000btu burner he used to have and I get up to temp in just over 6 minutes
