Ah ha! More detail on the lumber storage cleats. Also, what type/size fasteners did you use to mount the wall side of your cleats?

Have you made any process on the french cleat plane wall? That's on my list. I've been using french cleats for years to hang all my garage cabinets and shop cabinets, but I hadn't considered doing a wall with individual holders. More details on the individual holders is always helpful as well. One final question, I've been thinking about putting my rigid combo sander or scroll saw on a shelf, on a french cleat against the wall, with some full extension draw slides so I can pull it out to use. Any thoughts/suggestions? Thanks so much.

I’m definitely planning to build the plane till in the near future. I want to build one and make plans for it. I’m not sure how heavy those tools are but be sure your wall cleats attach to at least two studs and consider having more than one cleat for the shelf.
