I outsourced one of my first websites for a client, but after watching your videos, especially this series, has definitely given me the confidence to build it on my own. So much great content in this series. Love it!

Hey Rob. This is again a great video and reminder for focusing on the stuff that really matters. For me it's indeed quiet difficult to distinguish, which problems need the most attention. I also tend to overdeliver, which is basically a good thing (I guess), but takes a lot more time. It's hard to tell if the additional work really translates into more sales for my customers, or if I would get them basically the same results with out me adding a ton of stuff the customer sometimes doesn't even recognize...
@FoxWebSchool4 жыл бұрын
If you get stuck you can directly ask the client too "hey seems there is a lot here - what is most important to you and the business?"
@FoxWebSchool4 жыл бұрын
And ya usually more and more work gets less and less returns (if it is focused on 100 different things). Find the most important stuff and just do that well - way better results and way faster to build.

Really nice website! I have a question: Did you take the pictures/ videos and edited them for the website, or did the boxing gym have the already? if you did take the pictures, was that included in the price?

Absolutely love your videos! Your giving some really valuable insights. I know this project is to be taken as a starter project and your not focusing on how much to charge at this stage. But if your a bit further down the line, can you give a rough idea on what and how much you would charge for a website like this?
@FoxWebSchool4 жыл бұрын
For something like this in US/Canada probably 2-5k depending on the profile of the gym and their budget.

Great content again! I think that is what a lot of agencies don't understand.(at least in my area). I think you should not focus on one aspect of webdesign. It's the overall concept that contains strategy, design, usability, target group analysis, seo, content and many more aspects. In my opinion, webdesign is the ability to combine all of those aspects together and to find the right balance for your project.
@FoxWebSchool4 жыл бұрын
100% agree. All design and no plan is a fancy-looking waste of time. The best results come from adding the different parts together and keeping it simple.

Well, a website is a way of marketing , it’s a way for people to learn about you and get them to buy . Same goal as with ads : you want them to buy just different Tool/Method.

I've loved following this journey. I'm in the process of setting up a business as you offer so this is priceless information which I'm hugely grateful for. Just had a question, do you use a 3rd party website for the form or do you use mysql and php?
@fizahanif80974 жыл бұрын
Great video, Rob! VERY useful information. Thank you! So, once you are done building the website how do you promote it? Or it depends on the type of client you are working with?
@FoxWebSchool4 жыл бұрын
Great question. With a project like this I picked someone who that wouldn't be an issue for: - There are only so many boxing gyms here so it will show up quickly and get results - He also has his own following > he can show them right away With later projects I will show what to do if that isn't the case. But start with people who will already have some traffic hitting the site.

Hi Rob, another great video! I'm sure you already know since you said you still had some work to do, but there was a typo in the middle of the page on the word "highest" - Anyway, what was your favorite method when starting to learn how to write copy?

Thanks - my spelling sucks ha. For getting better at copywriting I posted a lot on forums - I recommend the Fastlaneforum. You quickly get way better at writing by posting yourself and studying other top posters.
