I ordered the exercise bike on January 7th and it arrived on February 12th. kzbin.infoUgkxzg0clhbtRf2gGxPkVETFKJJKGqdsorQu The box must have been tossed around quite a bit because one whole side of the styrofoam was destroyed, and the other side foam was cracked. The Two zip ties holding the handlebars had broken loose and handlebars were loose in the box. There are two small holes in the foam on the right side of the handlebars, I guess from rolling around inside the box. Assembly was straight forward and easy. I am 6 ft 5 in 220 lb and the handlebars and seating positions fully adjustable and work great, I'm getting full leg extension. The noise level is very, very low and acceptable. The adjustment knob for the pressure on the flywheel works well also. The exercise bike is very well made, sturdy and easy move around. This is my first exercise bike and will keep me in shape over the winter. Update 3/19/21: when removing the sticker from the wheel, make sure you remove any sticker glue also. I thought mine was clean but I was getting a slight noise from the glue. Once cleaned off, its super quite. Also the monitor didn't work, tracked it down to the pickup device wasn't in the hole. Once I moved in the hole, it works fine. Do NOT put it in until it touches or it will damage the pickup.

Hey! I know it's a bit old video but I just stumbled upon this. I'd like to ask, how disruptive was cycling while working? Did you ever had to stop because you couldn't focus on your work, or did you ever feel like you're a bit slower with finishing off tasks than you'd otherwise be? (Also now that it's 3 years later, are you still biking? Does the bike still work well?) Thank you for the answers!!
@WanderingAimfully2 жыл бұрын
Hey Dániel 👋. Great questions! I found that work that took a TON of focus or brainpower I'd have to slow down the pedaling to be able to concentrate. As the month went on though, I found that pedal slowing happening less! So, I can imagine if I kept using the bike for a long period of time, it wouldn't be a big deal. I think I ended up using the bike for a good 6 months (nearly daily!) Then, it was 3-4 times per week for the next 6 months. Then, maybe once a week after that. The bike worked like a charm until the day I sold it -- we sold all our stuff to travel full-time this year. My wife even started using the bike as her exercise bike in our garage gym during covid lockdowns too! So, it got tons of miles put on it with no issues. Hope that helps!

Or that you may in the future.

Standing and sitting for a long time ist not that great for our body healthwise. Our body likes to move:) The best thing healthwise would be a treadmill on a (very) low kmh setting, but it costs a lot of energy to run it always while you are working on the pc. And in theory you could gain a tiny bit of energy back with your set up. Looks great I will probably try it too:)

@@WanderingAimfully you can with those new folding treadmills. Check out the R1 Pro by Xiaomi
@Siberius-3 жыл бұрын
Walking for an hour+ can start to feel pretty shitty on the feet. Would probably want to invest in some good footwear. There's footprint and likely mobility issues (relating to to treadmill itself), and also it's likely electric and won't stop moving when you stop moving, so I think that could be quite distracting when doing work. You're on a device that never stops moving unless you press buttons or get off of it. With the bike, you just stop pedalling instantly, and stop and start whenever.

Hey just wanna say I bought the same bike and calorie burning calculation seems very flawed. It does not alter the amount of calories burned (or any of the other stats) if you change the level of resistance. This is wrong. If you are on a higher level of resistance like 8 and you are pedaling the same amount as you are on level 1 it doesn't seem to change the rate or amount at which it displays the calories burned. Same with miles and the others. I'm a little disappointed by this but the rest of the bike works fine for what it does so I can't say I still wouldn't recommend it.
@WanderingAimfully3 жыл бұрын

@Siberius-3 жыл бұрын
I'm sure 2 is fine, but over the stretch of an hour of constant pedalling while trying to focus on computer stuff, it might just be a bit too much resistance for that... not sure. Or maybe the noise emanating from the device that went away was relevant after all lol. Oh I found a response of his that addressed this question (pasting part of it): What I found was that trying to use the bike as a verrrrrrrry passive form of exercise at my desk, Level 2 made it a workout and not just burning extra cals. Keeping the level lower made it much easier to not feel like it was hard(er) work each day. Nowadays we just use the bike as our home gym bike and I'm up to Level 6 for 40-45 minute rides a few times a week. It's definitely a workout as you crank it up! Hope that helps 🤗.

@@mikefisher9862 I did get a bike, almost same one Jason had (Flexispot, although mine came with a removable little desk). I found it very hard to work and bike at the same time, so I use mine a few times a week while I'm on calls, watching tutorials or something else more basic that doesn't involve much use of my arms. If I have to think creatively, write emails or troubleshoot an issue, I either unconsciously stop biking or find that I can't concentrate unless I stop biking. So I don't use it as much as I'd hoped, but still keep more active than normal by using it when I'm on calls. I alternate standing/sitting to work every 2-3 hours the rest of the time. Hope that helps!

why did he not do before and after!?!? whats the point of this video?
@WanderingAimfully3 жыл бұрын
Hi Amran 👋. The goal of this challenge wasn't about weight loss, so a before/after didn't really make sense. I did a 90-day fitness challenge a few years ago if you want to see before/after content 😊. This was just about trying to find a way to sustainably burn some extra calories through a fun 30-day experiment.

How much weight did you lose?
@WanderingAimfully2 жыл бұрын
Hi Laura 👋. I didn't do this challenge as a weight-loss challenge, so I'm not too sure. If I had to guess, I'd say 5-10 pounds, maybe. Usually, with good habits, you can lose 1-2 pounds per week depending on how much you have to lose. That's not exact science, nor is it prescriptive advice, just my own personal experience over the years 😇.

Don't know, didn't weigh myself at all during this challenge 😂. My clothes fit a bit better, so I'd have to assume I did 🤷.

Seriously, how many f'ing 4 minute full ads do I have to sit through to watch a short video?
@WanderingAimfully4 жыл бұрын
No idea why KZbin shows such long ads 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️ . But I can tell you that you'd burn about 18 calories if you were riding a stationary bike while watching those 😉 😆 .

@WanderingAimfully4 жыл бұрын
Goooood eye! I (Jason) tried the Oura for over a month and just didn't love it. I feel like I get the same "results" from wearing a Fitbit Inspire HR and their app experiences gives me more to-dos and reminders. 🤷🏻♂️ I love the concept of Oura though!
