It's a huge job and isn't realistically worth it. If someone's happy to pay that I'd do it, but I'd also have to charge £50 if the job is unsuccessful because of how much work is involved

The problem with the "you can't even access the digital content you bought and paid for" argument is that you don't OWN any of the digital content you buy anymore. You just have a "usage license" for it that can be revoked for any number of reasons. It's absolutely wrong that companies are allowed to get away with that, but it's the new software world we live in, and it'll never change so long as people keep "buying" the content.

usually the keyvault is flashed into NAND not CPU, it’s not a HWID that’s calculated based on internal hardware, so if changing CPU works then that’s quite interesting. more secure than flashing NAND and getting away with bypassing

There isn't a KV in the new consoles, the console certificate is stored in the AMD PSP and Microsoft just revokes it when you're banned.

I'm going to hazard a guess that the console serial number is stored in the BIOS chip, but the APU transfer is also necessary because the SSD is paired, or rather the hidden partition is. I wonder if and when someone figures out how to create that partition from scratch would it be enough to only transfer the BIOS chip to unban the console.

Unsporting behaviour doesn’t result in a console ban, those are always account bans. A console ban usually happens with more serious actions such as distributing emulators in retail mode Also, games are attached to the account so you’ll keep the games

I was wondering how this works. If your console is banned, you can still play installed games offline correct? This is how it worked when I got my 360 banned.

@@s10jamif you have a disk drive you can play offline only if the game is installed, otherwise if you have a digital only console after some time it will ask to connect to the internet i think its like once a month or every couple months, so if it works still offline a series s after some months would be completely useless

Console bans were usually carried out as a result of hardware mods like jtags, and distribution of hacks/hacked items. It has always been possible to undo a console ban, however they are flagged in the system and will likely be rebanned within days if the mod is still installed or the user begins distributing hacks again(the accounts used for distribution and ALL associated accounts would be flagged and actioned upon with varying degrees of severity depending on the association), we saw some banned consoles get repaired/refurbished and resold both with and without the modded hardware installed. You could also get actioned for selling or offering to sell illegally modded hardware(some mods were considered fine by microsoft like some controller mods)

Technically its the services you rely on that you don't own. You do own the hardware, you are free to do with it as you please, you can mod it, take it apart, sell it, etc. They cannot stop you. What they can do is prevent you from using their services. So the more services your hardware relies on to function the more they own 'you'.

Yeah this can be done with a PS5 but you'd need to do quite a bit of work. The good news is you can find the stencils on aliexpress though for the SSD and for the APU

In regulated gaming facts you also signed the Microsoft agreement which deprives the legit games you purchased and add one however without alteration to the console tell why the facts remain glitch is a fault in the program or system well known xbox doesnt have mods so in fact to ban the console or any of our purchases without opening the console or altering the motherboards function a glitch is a fault in the programming or system it is unfortunate how many fight this law so unless evidence is proven of personal modification the system faults are solely there issue and due to the understanding of this law there commiting intellectual theft as in legal court the games you could play also suffer legitimate finance because of this ban over gta I'd assume unless your console is modded the fault it s here I played the system the way it worked so if it did for glitches or such then yes its error on your game and system

You can use the program Eagle to crate a footprint for the APU and get a stencil made from the gerber files, if the stencil isn’t available. Easier than balling by hand.

A SMD-stencil from JLC PCB. Also can be used for SMD components (makes sense if you are soldering one footprint over and over)

You don't get console banned for abusive behaviour. That's account bans. This console got banned for something more serious, like account theft, hacking, modifying hardware etc etc.
