I like to spray my micro fiber towel with wd-40. It looks shiny. Sometimes I'll use the wd-40 with silicone to preserve the rubber molding

I care for my tools also, its expensive+adds to the life. I maintain it as i would a expensive car. Only take a few moments to wipe it after the use.

Excellent thorough video! Alerted me to using an inflator for blowing away dust. I now use an Ozito inflator to do this. Many thanks!

I use the DeWalt 20v blower DCE100 to blow the gunk off stuff. It's like a mini leaf blower. Tools are expensive and it's worth the bother to keep them clean and lubed.

I been using Makita impacts since I bought my first one back in 05 or 06 , I use them daily and never clean them . They sometimes fall off ladders etc and I have yet to kill one . Although I kept my original for quite some years they started coming out with better and better and I would buy them every few years . So safe to say , cleaning them wouldn’t do a damn thing unless u plan on keeping the same one for 50 years but in that case your gonna have other shit regardless of keeping them clean . Clean them by all means if u wanna keeping looking shiny , that’s all

So I'm commercial jobsite savvy, if you use it every day for 8 hours a day.... dewalt built that in. My current impact, with no cleaning, is just as good as the day i bought it.

That’s good it’s not, mines got a little muddy and I didn’t like it. It’s not the worst but it’s definitely annoying in my opinion which could be different from everyone

@@castroscorner5832 of course. Shaky videos will turn a lot of people off. You don’t need to go ham, but one decent high brightness light with a diffuser and a tripod for now. Then down the road, a lavalier mic to drastically improve the audio quality

Could ya imagine trying to clean your cordless tools with a damp cloth ffs mine have oil on them every day cause there worked

I'm just a hobbyist, my title at work is tool and die technician. And I use air impacts there. I don't think oil and cordless power tools mix well together.
