Great idea on how to clean the Big Easy. I use mine all the time like you do and I love it, it’s so versatile and does a great job. I started putting foil at the bottom to help keep the cleaning down to a minimum. Thank you for posting the video, it’s a smart cleaning method for the Big Easy.

It ain't easy but it can be done, it's about position, if your are spaying it with the water hose turn it away from you and spray it from the back or over the top.

Is it possible to get a new insert.. How and how much? My ex was the Big Easy operator -- Its been sitting there 3 years and I finally figured out how to use it but he left it in a nasty state. Ill try to clean it your way but if its not sufficient how do i get a new insert?

It is December 9th and I ordered my Big Easy on Nov 25. BackOrdered.... but tomorrow, it's arriving right on time. I'm off this weekend and I have a full propane tank. I already got all of the accessories waiting. Going to do a chicken or ribs.
@roselsimpson858
@roselsimpson858 3 жыл бұрын
A full propane tank and what appears to be a great attitude. Your chicken or ribs or both are going to come out amazing. If you choose ribs keep a close eye on them they tend to cook rather fast in my opinion. I use hooks to hang them from the side of the basket. Let me know how it turns out. Thanks for watching and stay tuned for more great content!

The first time I I used my Big Easy no oil fryer,I spent over an hour trying to clean it. It did not come completely clean. I can see where Easy Off may help.
@roselsimpson858
@roselsimpson858 Жыл бұрын
Yes the Easy Off does help, just remember to rinse repeatedly, the best way to keep it clean is to clean after each use while still warm or do what I sometimes do skip the cleaning and use the residue for flavor on your next use lol

Next time use the heavy duty easy off. I use it on the basket and the grill all the time. I don't spray the insert because it's already seasoned. I scrape if while it's still hot. But I burn it on high for a couple hours and just scrape the bottom at the end of Fall, like your self cleaning oven.

That’s the way I do it, too. And you are quite right with the dog loving the dirt coming off the smoker. I am wondering, is it worth while trying to burn off the grease by heating the empty smoker to a maximum? Thank you for your good video from Bremen, Germany

I know this is a 4 year old comment, but for others interested, easy off can be used on a warm oven and it works a little better/little faster. You can’t burn off the black in these though it has to get over 500 degrees for that reaction to occur. I’m going to watch another video this creator made using dawn power wash bc I bet it works good. The power wash doesn’t *say* it has ammonia, but somehow I know they have harnessed the power of ammonia bc it takes the grease and brown and black off my other appliances so quickly. I love easy off too but the fumes get me.
