@@Ltchg You are still young , don't lose hope. Most people do grow out of it. It's mostly hormones at your age. It'll change in time. Regardless, don't let it run your life. Enjoy being a kid. I wouldsay, stay away from those Neutrogena acne pad type things. Don't dry your face out. Keep it clean, use a natural oil to hydrate it a couple a times a day. I noticed this worked for my son. Not completely gone but clears up and comes back a little less.

No joke you have taught me so much more about my acne than any dermatologist. I just saw a dermatologist last week, and he was a younger guy, and when it came to my breakouts all he said was that as an adult it's just hormones so there isn't much you can do. He didn't ask about my skincare routine, he didn't discuss diet and lifestyle with me, and he didn't make any recommendations for what to use/not use. Needless to say I won't be bringing up acne to doctors anymore. It's completely useless!

I feel like acne was like a sign that was trying to warn you about your body’s and soul’s health, and you finally heard it to heal. It had a purpose to not only clear your face, but clarify your life. It is like hurt. We have to hear those nerves.

I remember watching your videos back when I was a preteen when my acne first started. You are just as inspiring to me now as you were back then. You have always been an intelligent, wonderful, beautiful role model. I'm so happy for you, not just because your skin is clear. I'm happy because you look so happy! Having been through a similar situation as you, I"m glad that we have both found peace and happiness in our own skin!

I hate it how people have like clear, poreless, “glass” skin get that 1 tiny pimple and complain about it. Meantime, my face looks like a battlefield of Volcanic eruptions 🌋 I’m so glad I found Cassandra on KZbin because she’s the only knowledgeable pro who suffered like I am right now. I’m glad she isn’t like those perfect skinned individuals that don’t understand the struggle of cystic acne.

"When you just use products, you're not really getting into the bottom of it." --- This hit me. I realized that I wasn't really paying attention to what my body/skin is shouting at me. I kept on changing products to find which ones work and doesn't work for me but then I didn't care about what food I ate, what things stresses me, nor my lifestyle habits. Now, I learned that it's not about what the dermatologist prescribes, but it's about how I live my life. Thank you for encouraging us to educate ourselves and to learn, understand, and respect our body/skin. I shall do my homework now.

My experience with acne has been pretty traumatic in terms of mental health and finding your videos was a huge part of me being able to gain some perspective and realising that the condition of my skin does not define my worth as a person. The fact that even when you had skin issues you still managed to be such a confident and lovely person has been a massive inspiration for me. Thank you so much and I can't wait to see the rest of the videos you put out!

I am so beyond happy for you Cassandra!! I have been following you for years now since the beginning and my journey has been so so similar to yours. After 7 dermatologists I quit and started experimenting and learning more about our body and natural treatments. I tried all the pills and ointments and it makes me mad that doctors never acknowledged that diet was such a big part. Going vegan is the biggest change that cleared my skin. Two years of being vegan has cured so much in my body. I had awful acne just like you did and I'm so glad I have had you through this whole process to "hold my hand". I would try something and then watch a video and find you trying or supporting the same thing. I love you so so much! I truly hope this video is shared far and wide and we save others from this stressful and frustrating journey. Even if you don't have acne just being aware of diet and toxins can help so much. Knowledge is power. I agree with everything you say in this video so much. Thank you so much for making these videos! ❤️❤️❤️

I also, am very sensitive to chemicals and I don't wear any makeup or be near people who pour lotions or perfumes on themselves. I truly understand what you mean when you say "toxin people". I had to give them up as well. My skin has been great over years, but I do get hives when I cause myself to be overly stressed unnecessarily. I'm really glad someone like you decided to make a video on clearing acne and highlighting that products are a tiny part of the process. This video NEEDS to be seen by all the people suffering from acne out there. I can relate so much to this. I've been dealing with acne since I was like 14 and it didn't go away after puberty or adolescence, it only got worse and worse, no matter how many products I tried. And I refused to take medication for it or birth control pills, I used to say to people: I'd rather live my whole life with acne than taking birth control in order to keep it in check. The moment it started to heal is when I took a radical decision : I will not cover my face with make-up anymore, this is who I am and if you don't like my face, just don't look at it. The idea that I can only feel beautiful when my real face is covered up was kind of killing me inside. So I stopped doing make-up and instead applied a bit of cream mixed with tea-tree oil everyday on the affected areas of my face, because I wanted something natural. After a few months you could see the difference but I was still having eruptions. So I started to work out and to pay attention to what I'm eating, reduce meat, reduce diary and fat, eat vegetarian as much as I could. And on top of that, I got recommended to a nice cleanser for acne prone skin, a professional one and I replaced my tea-tree oil with that and it actually was the right product for me. The only one I'm using. Really practical for traveling, by the way. :) All of that combined got me to a point where I can proudly look at my face in the mirror. I still get acne here and there from time to time but nothing compared to how it was before. And I only apply make up to my face for very special occasions, maybe once or twice a year. Destressing was also important, since I used to be quite an angry person, always frustrated about everything. I do think the key is starting to get comfortable in your skin, become at peace with yourself. When you get on that road, everything just starts falling into place, suddenly you have the energy to work out, to prepare healthy meals for yourself, to meditate, to do research and come across great ideas. Really enjoyed looking at your video and so happy to confirm that what I did out of instinct is proven to be true and works for other people too. We don't need to intoxicate ourselves with pills in order to do this. Cheers!

It meant so much to me to the point where I felt like this is a massage for me and this is the answer to my happiness. I literally go to sleep every night feeling bad and guilty for so many things and now I’ve realized I don’t even think of myself and how I deserve to go to sleep feeling okay about my day and about me for once. I had severe cystic acne from 18 to 21, went on Accutane and before my wedding had a couple of cysts and at 28 went on Accutane again. Right before my wedding I had collagen injections and my pics come out great. I have two kids, who are 24 and 19, I did fat transplants (taken from my side, injected into my face, and so many other treatments). I’m 55 now and over the years since my last cystic breakout in 1991, I’ve been very blessed with no major breakouts, and if I feel a pimple coming or a deep cyst that doesn’t come out, I run to the dermatologist and get it injected and it goes away in a day. I wanted to thank you for your honest sharing, you brought me back to a dark time in my life that I forgot. My face was so bad I used to wear a scarf around my face, when my face cleared up my confidence came back and it was actually the toughest time in my life. I’m convinced my acne was totally stress and drug related (I did a lot of drugs from 13 to 21). Happy to say I got straight in 1985 and life was beyond my wildest dream! So, thank you again, your a beautiful girl!!

Ready for these videos! I have spent so much time trying different things, exfoliating, wearing makeup and beyond to try and figure out my acne and just recently, I stopped using almost any face masks and almost no actual exfoliant. I have it down to a daily cleanser and a moisturizer and my skin is fantastic! I also stopped thinking so much about every single bump on my face and just that helped too. Simplify your life!

I love you Cassandra. I watched only 5 min of the video and it reminded me of how our straggles can make us find our purpose in this life. I've been watching your videos since I was young to just feel good about my acne and skin, now 9 years later her i'm watching again because you changed the way i look at myself thank you a lot.

you're so lucky!! I've been vegetarian for 6 years and vegan for 4 years for ethical reasons and I still get the same acne, I'm also into realfooding, I don't use make up... etc nothing natural is working, not even the thousand creams and cleansers I've been giving along the years by different dermatologists or natural cleansers I've tried from Lush, my only and last hope is accutane...

I used to have awful skin in high school and the dermatologists would give me creams that would make my skin even worse. I tried every pill, every cream and nothing worked. I finally tried using coconut oil on my skin and it instantly started clearing up. I am now vegan and use all natural products, nothing harsh, and have acne free skin! Sometimes we know our skin better than the professionals! So happy for you!!!!

when I had acne, my doctor said that diet didn't cause acne. They don't know shit, diet causes acne for sure. dairy always causes breakouts, maybe real unpasturized milk is okay but the stuff they sell in stores has chemicals in it.
@amysteriousviewer3772

I dont't know about that honestly. I used to believe diet was the most important thing too but then you have those people who basically eat whatever the hell they want and they have perfect skin all the time. Also taking into consideration that only a minorty of people have acne but the majority of people have a bad diet. If diet was the main factor I think more people would have acne, especially adults.

@@ashleytaylor994 Totally true. I don't know how dermatologists can say so many stupid things about skin. I mean I'm vegan and my face isn't totally clear even though I eat healthy but it is better than before. Last time I eat non-vegan chocolate I broke out so bad I thought I was a volcano. Because of the sugar and milk. Normal chocolate(dark, dairy free) is good for me. Also soy is making me break out but I don't eat soy anymore. It is true that there are people who eat anything and have clear skin but this doesn't mean nutrition doesn't affect anyone

The problem with dermatologists in America is they just keep giving you harsher and harsher medication for acne instead of figuring out the root of the problem I delt with acne in high school and college and my doctor kept just giving me stronger medication which made my skin worse. After I discovered Korean skincare I realized my skin was bad because it was effing dehydrated. Ever since I've been taking care to keep it hydrated among other things and it has changed my skin for the better!

I totally agree, unless you need harsh treatment because you will die of cancer (and you know chemo therapy is so toxic it can also kill you)... harsher meds are only worse for you and more meds will give you more toxic building up inside!!! I am also guilty of eating unhealthy snacks (though maybe less than in US) but I still do...

The best and most real video I've seen about acne. I've been suffering from cystic acne my whole life and was on birth control for years. When I stopped, I was so scared that I would break out again but made major changes to my diet and exercise, and not just layering your face with products. You're totally right in everything you say, thank you for sharing your knowledge with the world!
