Your video was so helpful in writing my first performance assessment . I was so nervous to start but your tips are so useful and made it easy for me and guess what I loved the way you justify it by saying literally ‘I am writing about ‘ Thank you ! I just got my evaluation and I passed competent !

This is exactly what I do, but hadn't really thought about it this way. First course and 3 task finished in 4 days.

Anyone Writing any WGU class needs to watch this video and learn from the great walkthrough on what is helpful and productive. Great Video!!

This is the exact method that I use to write papers. Thank you for making a video about this. It's good to know it works for other people in WGU. Another recommendation is to hit on the items that they want you to cover with the same word or with similar wording to how they want you to describe it. Like if they want you to cover weaknesses, specifically state that "Weaknesses are..." or something really close to that, just be careful of plagiarizing. It adds up fast. Good luck!

Good morning Justin, I pray all is well. Your video are very informative and I love the fact you are sharing your process. I just started WGU and for the life of me I am not understanding uploading work in one note. I want to turn in my work but I am having a hard time. Can you walk me through please if you don't mind I would really appreciate it dearly.

Hi Martine, thanks for the comment! And sorry to hear you’re struggling to upload. I actually haven’t used the portal for quite a while since I’m not at WGU anymore but I believe most of my assignments were uploaded as PDF files. Could you try that instead? At the time, there was a scan that had to be done to check for plagiarism. That was to be done as part of uploading too. Your mentor should know how to upload and your instructor will too. I would send them a screenshot of your issue and ask for clarification! Don’t be afraid to ask them for help

So are performance assessments not proctored and sit down like the objectives?
@lifebyjustin3 жыл бұрын
They are not proctored, they are assignments in the form of papers that are done at your own pace. You read the course readings and access the appropriate WGU resources to learn about the topics. There are a questions and a rubric to detail what's required in the paper, so that you have specific focuses when writing. Evaluators use the rubric to determine if you've hit the mark with your paper components. Cheers

Hello, I was wondering do you have any advice for paper writing? I am going back to school and i haven't written in this style for years. Any videos you would recommend or websites? BTW I love your videos, very educational and helpful.
@shady9206 Жыл бұрын
Nice video. I just have a few questions if you don't mind. Does WGU require a specific writing format in their assessments? Like APA, MLA, etc? Also, how exactly do you pass a class? By doing every single assessment and exam? I haven't done WGU yet, but I will in the future, so I'm trying to inquire as much information as possible.
@lifebyjustin Жыл бұрын
Hey! Strict APA citation and formatting for the education masters I did. And each course has assessments, either a proctored exam or papers. I usually did 2-4 papers per course in my degree program. You have paper criteria related to course content that you follow and then submit the paper for review by an evaluator who marks it on based on a rubric. If it’s not meeting competency, then it’s returned for revisions. You can resubmit it to be reviewed again. It takes about 1-5 days to be reviewed be able evaluator. Once all the papers and/or exams are done and meet competence, you’re done the course and your program mentor will unlock a new course. This is all tracked on WGU's learning management system (LMS) that you see, alongside your program mentor and instructors. You wont have issues understanding that you completed a course It's all clearly shown on the LMS. Lots of videos give details on these types of processes, so feel free to check them out

Hi!! So I am working to obtain my masters in education with initial licensure. I’m not a teacher and am coming from a totally different field. I’ve been struggling with comparing theories to my experience. Advice ?
@lifebyjustin3 жыл бұрын
Hmm it’s a tricky one because I work as a teacher and wrote about my direct experiences. Did you ever have a “helping role” that you can reference? Like a role that you trained someone or were an advisor or manager? You could reference those experiences as educational roles and settings.

Seriously, some of the modules to the tasks are so crappy that it is hard to tell exactly what they want in the Tasks. They simply aren't worth a damn when it comes to examples.
