One thing that's helped me a ton is to time block everything tedious that doesn't need to be done daily or immediately into a single, weekly "Mundane Marathon" block. Rather than trying to schedule individual tedious things (booking appointments or travel, for example) within each day, I just keep a list of them and aim to knock out as many as possible in that block from the list. Then I only have to summon the starting motivation once, and I can ride that wave through the drudgery. I can then use willpower on other things (hopefully creative blocks like you've outlined) through the rest of the week. This has worked pretty well for the few months I've been at it - maybe worth a try alongside your timeblocking approach!
