Yes, my wife's character and how she was inspired me to learn about Islam. I told her I'd never convert for anyone and had to seriously believe in what I practice. However, once I took the time to actually research Islam and clear up my misconceptions, I was pleasantly surprised.

Thank you for sharing your story! I’m a follower of Jesus and just wanted to say I’m sorry for how your family reacted and has treated you, this is not what Jesus would do, and I’m sorry they brought upon hatred and closing you out. One thing that makes me so so sad is how the western culture views Muslim people. They base it off of the news and radical terrorists. The most amazing and hospitable people I’ve ever met are Muslim people. Some of my closest friends who are more like family are Muslim and are the most loving and genuine people ever. I strive to educate and show people that Muslim people are not only peace driven and loving, but are actually a huge blessing to all because of their heart to love and serve people. So thank you for sharing! I appreciate and am always looking for new people to follow so I can learn and understand your faith more. I pray that God would bless you and keep you safe in this crazy year

Hi Sarah, thanks so much for your kind words. I wish my family understood Christianity the same way as you. @@MehdinaTV In the Bible, verse Matthew 19:29 says whatever we forsake to follow the Lord will be returned to us hundredfold. It's always been interesting to me that the majority of the verse emphasizes family relationships and only briefly touches material things. Unfortunately, sometimes following our heart in faith causes contention with family. This is my story as a convert to the LDS faith. I struggled for a long time juggling what I knew to be truth and the commandment to honor my parents until someone taught me that following the light and knowledge given me *is* honoring my parents, even if they don't agree. I imagine the Qur'an has similar guidance to respect our family as we put the Lord first in all things. May hearts be healed as you continue your journey in faith and love.

The closer a way of life is to the natural inclination of your soul, the more it will speak to you. Through Christianity, you were able to have a connection with God, albeit a broken one. When you found Islam, your found the pure connection, which it was craving. With God as your guide, you will reach the truth as long as you sincerely want to live for Him, regardless of what people think. Ask God for guidance. Read the translation of the Qur'an. Talk to practicing Muslims you can trust for advice and support. May Allah make your journey easy towards Him

Absolutely. First know that Islam is very easy and simple religion. The first thing is to believe that there's a creator for this world, who created everything and does not need anything and is not like any of His creations, in Arabic the name for God is Allah. God sent many Prophets and messengers we must believe in all of them, among them are Adam, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and the last one of them Muhammad. One becomes a Muslim by believing and saying: "I testify that no one is God but Allah, and that Muhammad (Abu al-Qassim) is the messenger of Allah". Abu al-Qassim is another name for Prophet Muhammad the son of Abdullah who was born in city of Makkah and died in the city of Madinah. I urge you to become a Muslim imediately because you will not lose anything and will gain a lot. You can ask all the questions you want, and surely you will find an answer to every question in Islam, nothing is hidden in this religion, which is the religion of all the Prophets of God, and is the fastest growing religion on earth. For more insight, see: www.alsunna.org/aboutislam.htm

People can be close minded at times, but I wish they would open their eyes and see other people through your content and your messages. It's okay that it's hard, and by hard I mean devastating. When someone believes their child is walking away from truth, light, and a love of God, *that hurts*. In an ideal world, parents would be able to overcome those feelings to support their children. However, pain of the mind seldom affords that option and pain of the soul is even deeper. We should not judge parents who struggle to maintain a kind relationship. It is better to love from a distance than to cause continual hurt. Let's pray for hearts to heal, minds to find peace in the joy their children experience, and wisdom to know when those children are at risk.

I think its bc u are not worshiping the same God anymore. Christians believe God, (Yaweh) is the one and only true God and that Jesus is his son, Muslims believe Allah cannot have a son so it is not the same God they follow. Jesus is also God and Muslims do not recognize that. That's why it's a big deal.

@audrave exactly my point. There is strong disagreement whether He is or isn't the same God. I'm not going to debate you on this, I am just providing insight to your question of why converting to another religion of the book is a big deal. There are strong conflicting/opposing values in these 2 religions that would make it hard or in ur words " a big deal" to convert. Like I have stated above christians believe Jesus to be God , while Muslims don't. So if as a Christian u believe that your salvation lies with Jesus and then see another christian who used to believe this as well go and convert it would make it difficult bc they would be denying Jesus as God as a result. Does this make sense? Once again only answering your question as to why converting to another religion is a big deal. TLDR: For Christians it is a big deal to convert to another religion bc converting to another religion that denies Jesus as God and your savior would be denying your salvation.

@@likejohnnyandjune2024 It is true when Muslims say "Allah" they are referring to the One true God. Muslims say that they believe in Jesus. They say he lived a sinless life, meaning that he never lied. But at the same time they dont believe Jesus was the son of God. Here is John 3:14‭-‬16‭, ‬18 CEB This is Jesus's words. "Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so must the Human One be lifted up so that everyone who believes in him will have eternal life. God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him won’t perish but will have eternal life. Whoever believes in him isn’t judged; whoever doesn’t believe in him is already judged, because they don’t believe in the name of God’s only Son." The Human One is another way that Jesus referred to himself. Eternal life here refers to going to heaven when you die. Here Jesus said whoever doesnt believe in him, doesnt believe that He,Jesus, is God's only son. So Belivers accept that Jesus is God's son and nonbelievers reject that Jesus is God's son. Why does this matter? Well beyond the fact that if you do not accept that Jesus is God's son you cannot be saved, you also cant communicate with God, the Father if you dont believe this. Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the light no comes to the Father Except through me." I want to conclude this by saying that, in this world we dont have hope. We are slaves to our sin, and we are not able to connect with our Creator God. Our sins separate us from God because God is perfect and holy. The punishment for sin is death and eternal separation from God(not going to heaven when we die). We are all sinners and that is the fate that we deserve. But God was so merciful that he gave us a way to connect with him and go to heaven when we die. He sent his son, Jesus, to come to earth and live a sinless life and die for our sins. Not just the sins of people who were living at that time, but also for people who were going to be born in the future. For people like you and me. He paid the price of our sin by dying on the cross. If you dont want to be a slave to your sin, and you dont want to go to hell when you die, profess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus is God the son, and that he died for your sins. Thats all. When you do that, you will be saved. Amen

@@user-el1qd8vy6j hi I think you have a misconception about Allah. Allah is Arabic word for God (tho people use God for everything like idols and animals and even some people say they’re God so word God is not Allah cos people can’t call their idols Allah that name is only for the one true creator) with that being said your argument is wether muslims and Christians believe the same God? Well if Christians believe the God of Abraham, Moses, David, Adam (PBUT) then yes that’s the same God that we believe and worship the same God HaShem or Yahweh that Jewish people worship. However the main difference between Islam and christianity is wether Jesus is son of God or God himself that we muslims don’t believe, Jesus (PBUH) is a messenger according to Islam.

This makes me so happy. I first decided to learn more about Islam because my boyfriend is a Muslim...but the more I learned about it the more I learned that it feels to me more clarifying...it seems more like a structure like you said. There's a lot more to learn, but we in return get a lot more knowledge. The next moment I found myself praying to god to keep everyone safe and praying that a lot of my problems will be solved. It felt just right, and at that moment I knew I wasn't just doing it for my boyfriend anymore, but to feel loved and supported by god. To feel like I want to give myself to god because he has been protecting me and helping me and guiding me. At that moment I knew that I wanted to convert to Islam because I felt like this was what I believed in, and what I felt supported in. And to this day I do not regret anything. What an interesting story! Thank you for sharing. I converted to Eastern Orthodoxy in my young adulthood and I had a similar journey of looking for a more structured lifestyle of faith. So many people now simply practice their faith on Sunday and the rest of the week hardly think about God or try to live the Faith. I think that Islam and Eastern Orthodoxy share that, when practiced properly, it is a true lifestyle, not just a religion. Glory to God!

Please don't live Hinduism. If you want to follow monotheism and found yourself against idolatry, then you can do it by staying in Hinduism. The 'Nirguni' branch of Hinduism worships one formless GOD that manifests in different forms, both abstract and concrete at the same time. You can worship Parbrahma(GOD) by singing, mediating, gardening, dancing and even by doing charity work; if you find yourself disagreed with materialistic rituals. But please don't leave Santana Dharma for joining a Medieval Arabain Law Cult. You will end up following the same materialistic ways and find ourselves entangled between distinctions Haram & Halal. Must watch kzbin.info/www/bejne/h2Lbnnh5lrdorZY Evolution does not explain the origin of universe, origin of life, Spontaneous Generation i.e creation of living from non living (infact louis pasteur's experiment in 1859 proved that spontaneous generation is impossible!!!). Then, there is an argument that everything in this universe is going towards disorder (Entropy, as explained by physics), yet the evolutionary biologists say that simple things evolve to form complex things which is exactly against the laws of Physics!!! We, the humans, the most intelligent being on this planet cannot fully explain the remarkable and complex processes with our fully developed brain, then how can a cell billions of years ago created it self from nothing!!! So the athiests are trying to say that what the most intelligent brains around the world cannot fully understand and explain, the non-living things billions of years ago already knew and started transition into living ( again, disproved by pasteur). I am a medical student and we come across many topics which are quite simple but the author says that it is uncertain and is not fully known e.g "But how does the chemotaxis control the direction of amoeboid locomotion? Although the answer is not certain....". Similarly "although all aspects of ciliary movements are not known...." "The way in which ciliac contraction is controlled is not fully understood...."(Guyton and John.E Hall, Textbook of Medical Physiology: unit 1, Locomotion of cell) The science with all its advancement cannot explain these intricate and delicate processes of the simplest organisms then how can we believe we were not fine tuned by an Intelligent Designer? Humans have the highest intelligence on this earth but cannot explain microorgansims; cannot create microorganisms; doesn't understand fully the human body and cannot create one, yet the athiests say that there is no scheme behind this and all of this is a random process without Diety!!! Then there is a problem of irreducible complexity (i.e certain biological systems cannot have evolved by successive small modifications to pre-existing functional systems through natural selection because any less complex system would not function). Dr keith L. moore, prof emiritus of anatomy and embryology (author of "Clinically Oriented Anatomy", "The Developing Human" etc, the standard textbooks of anatomy and embryology in medical schools) have declared that the Quran is from God. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gJCnnZ-raZeYe6M kzbin.info/www/bejne/fpXUoauaesp3mrc kzbin.info/www/bejne/q6HEZXWJfZyol5Y Also dr maurice baucaille etc...You can check the videos from youtube. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jpK2l3hnebxlY9k kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z6vWZ61sesSCn80 kzbin.info/www/bejne/fIa4gYypZcx4orc How will you disprove the scientific , mathematical, linguistic etc.miracles of quran (e.g big bang, expansion of universe etc??? It is neither ascending nor descending [e.g 1st surah is very short (7 verses) followed by the longest surah (286 verses) which is followed by a shorter surah (200 verses). This is followed again by a shorter surah (176 verses)....] Scholars, by the grace of God, now have found the sheer wisdom of God behind this. Holy Quran has 114 chapters (surahs) and 6236 ayahs (verses). If we add the surah number and the verses contained in the surah for all the surahs (i.e 1+7, 2+286, 3+200, 4+176, ......) we get 57 even number results and 57 odd number results!! The results are evenly split w.r.t 114. If we add all the even number results, we get the exact answer 6236, the total number of verses in the Quran. If we add all the odd number results, we get the number 6555 which is exactly equal to the sum of all the surah numbers of the Quran (i.e 1+2+3+4+5+6.........+114 = 6555). Now, here we a have pattern where one half gives us the total verses whereas the other half gives us the sum of all the chapter numbers of the Quran!!! I have done it myself too and was shocked. My approach is: • Only God knows whether He has incorporated evolution in living beings or not. • I cannot deny the facts which are given in Quran. They are 100% accurate. The miracles of Quran are irrefutable. • We cannot and must not say that evolution is not a fact. It may or may not be, who knows! If it is a fact then God is behind it. Who will do the ultimate Justice??? As Muslims, we believe that this world is temporary, a practical exam. Why not follow all the rules and regulations to reach our real and rational goal, the eternal life??? Plz plz, for the love of science, i request you all to write "does God exist" by dr. Zakir naik on KZbin and watch the full 1 hr 30 min video. Also search for the "scientific miracles in the Quran" and watch few videos. I guarantee you that if you watch it with open mind, you will surely be going to believe that there is no God but ALLAAH (SWT) and Muhammad (pbuh) is HIS messenger.

Hello. I'm a 20yo girl from a very atheistic country (majority of people are atheistic) in western Europe, it's a small country and there's very little racial minorities, and a lot of close mindedness. I have never spoken to a Muslim person in real life. I have been raised by a strictly atheistic and skeptical father and a mother without any spiritual beliefs. Believing in God, in any capacity, ft bizar to me in a way. Yet eversince I was very small (elementary school age), I felt a sort of calling. I remember I would have long conversations in my head with someone I called Jesus (as that was the only religious figure I knew) as if he was my friend. As I got older, I started being immensely fascinated by Islam, yet I know close to nothing about it to this day. It just seemed so distant, it's always been very hard for me to start learning about it on my own, like, where should I even start??? There's so many rules and things to know, and different people explain the rules differently, and it's just so confusing for someone who's never been in close proximity to anyone related to islamic culture in any way. I tried to force myself to not think about it - as I was also scared of getting judged by the close minded people around, and also getting into conflict with my family (especially my father who I can say HATES religion of any kind). But lately, I've been experiencing what I can only describe as a calling - yet still, it is so very hard for me to do anything about it, as I don't know where so start. I would like to reach out to a community, but I don't know how, since the small communities that are in my country seem very closed off (likely because of all the discrimination they face). I would love to just chat to someone, someone who could tell me about God, explain to me the rules and also how to interpret religious texts correctly, and if I see that this is indeed the path I want to take, maybe even guide me through the steps I need to take to properly convert. I am asking anyone who'd be willing to help me to please reach out to me on my Instagram account @smol.minshi please it would mean the world. Also please don't reply to this comment - I hardly ever check my KZbin notifications and I'd likely never see your response. If you don't have Instagram, you can use my email viki.vymazalu@seznam.cz I wish I could be guided to the right path by the right person Thank you

Wow! I will pray for you and your family.. for healing and peace.❤ I actually like the Muslim religion a lot and I'm a Christian. I really really love God. And certain things in Islam do make me feel closer to God. Like wearing hijab, only eating halal foods, the way God regards the genders, and expects us to respect each other and behave, etc.. I just started learning. And the more I learn, the more I respect Islam. I actually practice certain aspects of Islam to feel closer to God. Even though I don't see myself converting, I have soo much respect for Islam and devout Muslims. And thankful to God. 🙏🙏

I relate to that a lot. Years ago, I had interest in wearing a hijab and muslimah friends who were able to confirm that would not be offensive. My husband adamantly objected. He didn't forbid me to wear a hijab; had he done so, it would have been difficult not to do so out of spite. To keep peace in my marriage, I chose not to cover. That desire has never really left me. I'm at peace with the decision to prioritize harmony in my marriage. I just see that layer of detachment from the world and commitment as a beautiful thing.

As a child, I usually hear not-so-good stories about muslims (just like what you also shared). But years have passed, I got to know some muslims (I studied in a catholic school and I had a muslim classmate). They are very friendly and nice (very different from the news I heard during childhood)! I just hope that these stereotyping of religions and the barrier that somehow separates people from different religion to live harmoniously would disappear someday. I hope that someday, your own family will understand and accpet your decision of converting to Islam.

It honestly was nothing but fear mongering on behalf of the churches, people and twisted doctrine. I nearly committed suicide because I was so traumatized from my time as an indoctrinated Christian. I became agnostic for nearly 2 years and on my own I started studying various religions. I kept feeling a pull in my soul to Judaism and since October 13 2019 I have been Jewish. I'm so sorry to hear your family did that. My family friend had similar happen to him too. Durring some dark years of depression and no direction or drive in life he became hopeless despite being in a very rich family. A big part of his sadness was his home life was in tatters as parents were having a long, nasty, almost violent divorce. Me an my family did what we could he even lived with us for a year. We urged him to go out and persue some of his hobbies. A year or so he made great friends with two Muslims who were brothers. Their family practically adopted him an spent a lot of time there gaining happiness again. Till his parents found out an started "ordering" (to put it nicely) him to stay away from them. But he didn't an it caused many a fight but gave up. It wasn't till recently he truly felt he wanted to convert and wanted to on his birthday. He was on cloud nine absolutely happy. He had a job for back into hiking and hunting. It wasn't till a hiking fishing trip that he opened up on how his family officially disowned him shortly after converting, his father not only disowned him but written him off his grandparents and his will. He only got his childhood memory boxes an things was because of his steap brother as his dad gave all his stuff to him in rage. His steap brother has a soul and did not agree but sadly was afraid to say anything in fear of getting disowned and him haveing a severe chronic illness he would probably die. But he at least helps hid brother with secret money gifts and a promise that when their dad unfortunately passes away that he would give him the things his grandfather wanted to give to him originally like his childhood home and sports cars that he spent many years helping his grandpa repair.

MashAllah revert stories always strengthen my faith in Islam. Allah SWT puts people through trials but He does not burden a soul with more than it can bear and you’ve very clearly shown us that. May Allah SWT guide your family and friends and may they find solace in Islam InshAllah 🤲🏽

Personally I believe as the Bahai do, that when we pray its all going to the same place, and all faith is the same faith. I'm glad you found a way to deepen your spiritual connection.

I went through extreme difficulties with family and health problems. I was learning about faith when I was around 9 because nothing made sense as a child I was shunned for being “too curious” so I went things my way. After 7 years of Hardships and my family accepting my choice and health problems I took shahada on August 5, 2018 Alhamdulillah. Now I’m 19 and I helped my sister also take shahada Alhamdulillah she is 14 Ma Shaa Allah I’m on a journey to help my family bidnillahi. I’m 5 days away from my Nikkah and because of cultural differences and because I’m a revert my fiancé and I are facing such hardships but Alhamdulillah for everything and I ask for your duaas Jazak Allahu khayran 🥺❤️

I’m a Catholic, and yes we like to take the bible in a very fundamental way but a lot of the bibles books use symbolism to get across a greater point/s. The Church and Catholic community wouldn’t accept this kind of behaviour from your family, I’m sure

I'm so sorry that you lost your family like this. It must be very difficult. I am not Muslim but I have a very dear friend who is. I have introduced him to my family and my family is very open and welcoming. I am very fortunate. My adores my friend and have nothing but respect for him. They want me to be happy so if I opted to convert they would be happy for me as long as I am doing what I want.

May Allah give you ease with repairing your relationship with your family. My parents refused to meet my husband before we got married because he is Muslim. (I became Muslim on my own before I met my husband.) Now, Alhamdulillah they love him. Sometimes I think they love home more than me Masha’Allah 😂

My family also accused me of being brainwashed and one time my mom also ran over to my friend’s house to yell at them and threaten to call the police 😂😭 But alhamdulillah that was 20 years ago now and it didn’t even take half that time for things to get better. Hang in there. May Allah swt put the softness in their hearts and guide them ameen

Be patient, all in due time. Allah knows your heart and sees and hears you. Your family needs more knowledge, and they may never accept What you gain from Islam is far better than all the world. I converted 34 years ago from Catholicism. My tribe is Irish, so its like I denied my ancesters. I have nuns and priests on my fathers side. 34 years on mostly its cold and with 2 downright distant. Leave them to Allah, I'll be waiting.

I'm an LDS convert who struggled with the commandment to put the Lord above all else and the commandment to honor my father and mother. A wise person counseled that following the truth in my soul *is* honoring my parents, even if they don't see it that way. From my perspective, your choice to revert likewise honors your ancestry and adds the beauty of a soul at peace.

Thank you so much for sharing your story. I’ve been watching this channel more and more recently because while I don’t really resonate with Islam, I love learning about it because there was a time when I was completely ignorant about it. Heck, I’m still kind of ignorant. But now, I know that Islam isn’t how it’s presented in mainstream media. It’s purely about faith. Not pushing it onto others, not shaming others for their faith or identity, it’s not violent or oppressive, it’s simply about your connection to God. And you shouldn’t be shamed or shunned for that.
@Smithpolly

Not violent and oppressive? But as for those who disbelieve, garments of fire will be cut out for them; boiling fluid will be poured down on their heads, Whereby that which is in their bellies, and their skins too, will be melted; And for them are hooked rods of iron. Whenever, in their anguish, they would go forth from thence they are driven back therein and (it is said unto them): Taste the doom of burning. Quran 22:19-22

Most of the Armenians I’ve met (including me) are followers of the book. Judaism believes in god, Christianity believes in God, Islam believes in God. Just because someone changes the way they worship god doesn’t make them different or bad. Hope you’ll be able to mend things with your family. May Allah bless you. :)

Thank you. Honestly if my child changed religion I would try to understand them and be there rather than disown. I believe we don’t have to agree with or support everything our kids do,but it’s important they know that as a parent you’re always there for them and willing to hear them out.

Read John 3:16. It summarizes the entire bible. This isn't meant to shame you or anything, but this is really why most people become Christians. It's not about eating the right food or saying a scripted prayer, it's about acknowledging that Jesus Christ paid our debts when we were still sinners and now we are free from sin and death through the blood of Jesus Christ.

I'm tardy to the party but I just watched this video and I wanted to say this: I am not a religious person. But I'm a parent of 2 children and I cannot imagine cutting ties with them over their religious beliefs. If they choose a path that I am unfamiliar with, it is my responsibility to learn. If I still don't get it, it doesn't matter as long as they're happy. It is our job as parents to raise them to be good people and support them however we can throughout their lives. And of course, to love them unconditionally. I'm so sorry that your parents let you down. I don't know if you two plan on having children, but if you do, I know that this experience will help you to be better, more accepting, more open minded parents. Wishing you nothing but the best.

This video was posted almost a year ago and I’m just watching it now. I’ve been a fan of you guys for awhile now but I’ve just come to your KZbin channel recently. I was born Christian, and am now an atheist. I’ve tried to convert back into Christianity, and I’ve studied many others and Islam is one of the most interesting by far. I’ll probably never get back into religion because it’s not something I see for myself but I still love and support anyone with a faith. I’m very sorry for the way your family treated you. That’s not how Christians are supposed to act according to their god and the Bible. In general, Islam is represented horribly in many countries because of the media. Most outlets show the bad people in Islam when in reality most Muslims aren’t like that. May Allah bless you!
