How I Cracked CAT In My Fourth Attempt And Made It To IIM B | Swayam Tibrewal, CAT 99.12 Percentiler

How do CAT 99%ilers study? What is the strategy that they employ to crack a tough entrance test like CAT? How do they keep themselves motivated throughout their preparation journey, and how do they turn their weaknesses into strengths?
To answer these key questions, we spoke with Swayam Tibrewal, a CAT 99.12 percentiler and a part of IIM Bangalore's PGP Class of 2021. Swayam took CAT not once, not twice, but four times, achieving his dream score in the final CAT attempt in 2018 that opened the gates to IIM Bangalore for him. Swayam has had a tempestuous CAT journey filled with many ups and downs - in his penultimate CAT attempt, his computer shut-down for 15 minutes that reduced his overall percentile. To add to his troubles, a few days prior to his CAT 2018 attempt, Swayam lost his grandmother - an incident that left him bereft. Added to that was the immense pressure of re-taking CAT a fourth time. However, not only did Swayam not give up, he worked hard to overcome all odds that came his way and belled the CAT!

Look,, any degree is good or bad is basically decided by its return and scope in the corporate market. Ca is a professional degree, whereas MBA is a management degree. Ca makes you knowledgeable in audit and tax related areas of finance, while MBA makes you prepared for all areas of business administration. Also, a Ca initial package is 7.5 to 9 lacs, while Mba initial package in 10lacs to 50 lacs depending on the college. . . Gone are the days when only ca degree could fetch you managerial jobs,,, now a days, MBA from good collage is preferred more over a Ca by the firms,, because Mba guy is more flexible than a Ca guy and can fetch more returns to the firm. Moreover, Mba has much much wider scope than just a Ca.. M not saying that Ca is bad,,, but presently market demand is good mba professional s from top h schools. There are many Ca finding it pritty hard to find jobs these days and are opting for some additional courses or an Mba... . *CA people, dont get offended, its my own perspective and observations. Stay calm n keep doing your accounting job 😇😅✌
