so cool to see how you do it, thanks for the video :) how do you know to use a compressor for example, which didn't show in Equipboard?

Good question. A compressor is good for evening out the volume between quieter and louder notes and prevents notes from dying out too quickly, and it can also add a subtle punch or sparkle to the tone. Basically, it makes it more present and defined without adding distortion. Elevates your clean tones for sure. I also feel like Chris Cheney gets some of the effects of a compressor from the hollow body of his guitar which resonates a little more than mine did.
