Great video. I have watched the previous ones, what I was wondering do you know how many holes for bees to take 300ml of sugar syrup daily? Three holes or more? I want to mimic nectar flow. Thanks.

Almiravdic, I actually have a detailed video on this coming out in a week or two on this subject. I put cameras in the hives to discover the best configuration. Spoiler, I was surprised how little the number of holes mattered. The patterns and size of holes have more of an effect. I will get more into it in that video. Great question.

@@TechnicallyBeekeeping Ah.. That should be an interesting video coming up.. Ha... If you are still editing the video, mention how much space exists between the bottom of the jar lid and whatever the bees are standing on to drink the sugar water. Seems giving them a little extra space would be a good thing to do. More than the 3/8". I am making some inner covers for some nucs I am going to use to do some top feeding. Going to try putting jars directly over the top frames on different thicknesses of wood strips to give different spacing under the jars, to eventually adjust the inner cover thickness to feed quart and half gallon jars on top of the inner cover, using a deep empty hive body to house the sugar water jars and keep them out of the sun.. I would imagine it is going to be difficult to maintain a vacuum with the sun hitting the jars. Cool little magnet trick.. You must be feeding pollen in your sugar water. I am fixing to do the same. I have 4 different recipes of Pollen patties I am going to try on top of the brood boxes before long. Trying to finish up building some 5 frame Nucs and a queen castle or two now. Cheers!

@@MarkThomas123 Yes, what gave away the pollen substitute feeding? Good idea about the bottom of the jar. Regarding the sun, yes, temperature affects the vacuum in the jar due to PV = nRT (ideal gas law) within the jar. When temperature is increased, so is the pressure. It is one of the interesting things I'm finding as temp fluctuates from 100 degrees F in my hives to 60 F overnight. Vast differences in pressure.
