it’s crazy that so many of us struggle with procrastination and being unable to focus to the point of doing nothing for WEEKS and feeling like actual shit, and we still don’t realize that this is actual sickness. i am no exception, and you know it’s bad when you can’t even bring yourself to finish the video that’s meant to help you

damn this is so relatable except the last sentence I'll watch it and maybe still will procrastinate to initiate the work to not to procrastinate 😢 because of this i never fully reached my potential..and the feeling not reaching your potential is another level of pain :')

@@CajunKoiAcademy I don't know i cant focus, easily get distracted , zone out a lot, and I don't like to do things that are time consuming it's maybe because of ADHD I'm not even sure if am i a procrastinator bcuz I've adhd or is it just I'm a big time procrastinator that's why i don't like time consuming things and i dont like to sit in one place for too long... I'm in kitsune club i tend to learn things fast but bcuz of those problems I'm having an academic downfall:') i decided to change myself after my finals but at this rate idk how

@@CajunKoiAcademy for one, i watched the entire video :) and it was great, but as usual, it was up to me if i wanted to change. starting is usually the hardest part for me, and keeping consistent a close second but. i pushed myself to go outside on a long walk, and i think that really helped clear my head. it’s too late at night to study now but i hope tomorrow morning, i find the strength to start again.

Hi. I usually don't reply to comments, or even comment myself. Just wanted to say, I relate to your comment so, so much. I've been scrolling endlessly since the past two days (i have exams in 2 weeks) and i feel like shit, sometimes. It's a constant thing. I'm a good student, though. I hope you know that we can do this. I'm going to consider writing this comment a tipping point in my life. Right now, I'm just taking notes to this video to make myself feel like I'm doing something purposeful. After that, I'm going to go utilise my potential. You, and anyone reading - you can do this. That's me in tip #1... I think I have lot of time and I've realised that I'm not given any work and now I get frustrated if I'm asked for any help even if I'm just WASTING my time rather than studying... I should occupy my schedule even more so that I reach my 'sweet spot' as explained in another video of yours, so that I won't be exhausted by the routine and procrastinate all together... Moreover, I'm a person who is afraid of starting, I have been a perfectionist and I'm trying to break out of it... All these realisations are because of your videos! This helps condense a lot of the problems I've got with being bored or idle and these are some really good tips. Also slowing down is one of the key things to do as well. If your rushing too much you can run into problems easier

just at the right time when i needed it in my life, i was procrastinating even when i know i shouldn't, but i didn't have any choice, i didn't know what to do so i just sat through anime series and play games. after a point that too got boring, i was left in boredom with everything and thought i was fit for nothing. then i decided to atleast try staring with my core subjects and avoided my phone and used my laptop more, and then i got your video and got more ideas to work on . thanks alot for addressing this issue. i hope anyone suffering from this problem should know that it is you that has to get a hold of yourself and work for betterment! i wish best for everyone, and hope that ill somehow stay on the right path ! thanks for the video again !

I totally relate to that worry comes when we have more free time, cz that's when the mind's idle. My parents(Asian) don't understand it. They say, stay at home & study, meeting frnds will distract you. But in reality, not meeting anyone, being alone is destroying my mental peace and hence everything else.

hey, this video comes in so surprisingly because it's literally the base for my master's thesis. the biggest root problem is always distraction from the mind, and people would rather do anything than being caught up into their own thoughts. it comes unnoticed, because it's already a habit especially when our life is fully integrated with technology and media that have such attractive and addictive stimulation leaving us wanting more as long as we're out of our heads. the main gap does not lie in the awareness, but rather finding and practicing strategies to mitigate overstimulating forms of distractions (escpism). thanks for shedding a light upon this topic, really appreciate it and gave me the confidence how relevant and crucial this phenomenon is.

Last year I had an accident, and wasn't able to give any of my exams. I had to stay home, developed this habit of procrastination, and this year I again have an exam and, I was just so laid back that I didn't attend a single class. Wasn't talking to anyone. And now it's axing me. I have 9 subjects and just 10 days left to study. I did not study anything. And now I feel so stressed and it hurts to think how I made such a shit of myself. Every night before going to sleep now I wish when I wake up it's 2022 just so that I can undo this all. Which just isn't possible. Working on myself but I just feel broken now. "To anyone that came this far, just do your work on time instead of pushing it for any other time; it's a hard lesson for me and many"

As someone in a situation like that, dont give up! Im a Christian, so I believe that God allows things that can be used for good. Even though you are suffering, it can be used to make you stronger and a better person even if it doesnt look like it. God is with you!

Scheduling In Silence and Creating are awesome tips, because one is focused on letting our mind spread and flex(Scheduping In Silence), and the other focuses on letting our mind clear itself by converging important info(Creation). Both lead to mental clarity and imrpoved focus. Amazing man!
